Julie Harris passed away over 5 years ago. Harriet Harris is being considered to replace Rosemary Harris so I can see where one could get confused.

I just saw a hologram Oscar Hammerstein in SINCERELY, OSCAR. Welcome back, Julie!

She’s on hiatus from Knots Landing so it won’t be indefinitely.

I heard Lucille Ball will take over the role once Harris goes back to 'Knots Landing'. Hope it's true!

On another note- I remember Julie Harris- when I was a young'un- in a musical called Skyscraper- and I loved it so much. It was not a hit- but it was great. Anybody else remember it?
I found her autograph on an old playbill in an antique store many years ago before she joined the spirit world. For many years I thought she and Rosemary were sisters. Julie had two sons, one named Patrick and the other was named Ed. Both were in show business and one I think was openly gay.

I saw a preview of Skyscraper--Ms. Harris gave her all---but it was not very good. Based on a play called Dream Girl by Elmer Rice. I was fortunate enough to see Ms. Harris in The Lark and the play she did about dance marathons in 1963---in both she was amazing. Then in the early nineties, she performed in a play produced by Circle Rep---I don't remember its name---but I remember being amazed by how good she was.

This board has proven that we all have lots of different opinions on every show. I have to admit that I thought it was pretty crummy. In those days (I was about 16), I bought the OCR for most everything, but I never even considered buying one for this.
The only thing I really do remember was the set, which took over the entire stage (girders for a high-rise building). I remember thinking that Julie Harris had too thin a voice for musicals; she may have been a great actress, but I thought she had no charisma on that stage. Of course, the show opened the same year as Mame, On A Clear Day and Sweet Charity, so -- in comparison to Barbara Harris, Gwen Verdon, and Angela Lansbury -- she was totally out of her league. She did get nominated for a Tony, which was ludicrous, considering that Joan Diener was not nominated for her performance as Dulcinea in Man of La Mancha.
I guess I would have to say that IMO it was another one of those How Now, Dow Jones; Illya, Darling; Walking Happy; etc., type of very mediocre musicals that ran for most of the season, but were totally forgettable.
