Just thought some here would like to know that Julie Reiber will be playing Elphaba at the matinee today!

Grrrrr......I love this woman! I'd kill to see her. I hope she announces some more soon, but farther into the future so I can go!
Good luck Julie! I know you'll sing the crap outta all the songs and show Kerry how it's done.
This makes me VERY happy! I've been praying for this all week!!!!!
Can't wait to see Ms. Reiber again!!!
I saw this on her facebook status last night. Hope she has a great show!
I saw her go on for Eden in Los Angeles and she's my favorite Elphaba out of Eden (on for Idina) and Stephanie.

She's on the Sat. matinee too and I just grabbed a sweet 3rd row ticket.
Bumping this thread to let everyone know Ms. Reiber will be on as Elphaba at tomorrow's matinee!!!
What's going on with Kerry? Why is she missing so many shows (especially since she just started)?

Kerry seems to be doing 6 shows a week at the moment. She was sick during the last part of her run in London and only did about 3 shows during her last week. After that she moved to New York and started rehearsals more or less straight away so her voice probably hasn't had time to recover properly. I'm glad she's easing herself back into it so not to put too much strain on her voice and Julie gets some shows too.
How much more easing into the role does she need? It's been 3 weeks already.
I'm thrilled because Julie is getting to perform so much, but this is getting ridiculous.

Yeah I suppose she should just do all 8 and end up getting told by a doctor to leave the show and have throat surgery.

Word. The Caissie Levy debacle, anyone?
As stated, Kerry is off on half of two-show days per doctors orders. It's not an issue of her not wanting to do eight shows/weeks.
What happened to Cassie Levy?
Will Julie be going on the 7/5 matinee?
No matter who is playing the role of Elphaba, it is a very stressful role. This part not only tires the body, but also very very hard on the vocals
I love how it seems to depend on the role and the person in it as to how people feel about "matinee Xs" (where X = character name). Why is it ok to say so-and-so should have one but another person gets criticized? I'm confused.
