So if you suddenly can't make it, let me know and I'll pay for yours! Otherwise, enjoy and let us all know how it was....
No offense, but do you really think people who waited hours on line for them are going to give them up? Maybe if a last minute emergency popped up. But it's highly unlikely.

No, not at all...I just thought there was no harm in asking--because you never know what things come up for people at the last minute--and in any case, I'd love to know what everybody thinks of it the next morning...My post in no way should be taken to underestimate what everybody on line went through on that hot August morning! Enjoy, guys...
I might have an extra ticket... but by no means would I offer it at the original $10 ticket price. Throw me an offer and I might make it available. You definitely aren't going to pay $10 for a ticket people stood in line hours for. Seriously. Just because you offer to pay that doesn't make it at all a realistic offer.

That's an oxymoron sign.
Ticket scalping AND counterfeit tickets are 2 totally different things.
Ticket scalping is basically a legitimate ticket being sold for more money than its original cost.
Counterfeit ticket is exactly that -- a counterfeit/fake ticket.

I had a friend wait on line for me on August 10th. I'm not only paying for his ticket, but taking him to dinner tomorrow night.
Geeze!

I'm going to the invited final dress rehearsal tonight. I'll be sure to come back with a review!
That's not an oxymoron. It's just two different statements on the same sign. At least they are about similar issues.
Oxymorons (or oxymora) are literary figures of speech usually composed of a pair of neighbouring contradictory words (often within a sentence). However this is not always the case. The Webster Dictionary defines oxymoron as "a combination of contradictory or incongruous words".
Jumbo Shrimp is an oxymoron. Military Intelligence. (no offense meant) Seriously funny.

- What does that have to do with anything? It was impossible for me to get there, so a very nice friend did it for me. Stay out of my personal life, thanks!
