Kate Shindle's Money Note

Okay, this post doesn't just pertain to her note, but also to high belting in general.

Has there ever been another part in a show required to belt that high? What show?

Her belt sounds so much better live on the MTV broadcast, the OBCR is really...thin...

Who is Kate Shindle and does she work at The Pie Hole?

re: Kate Shindle's Money Note

That note she goes up to sounds identical to that in "Three Bedroom House" from Bat Boy and is reached in a similar manner.

Can't answer the question, but she sings the **** out of that song! I love it!

Brody, Kate Shindle plays Vivienne in Legally Blonde.

And yeah, she rocks.

Larry O'Keefe has a thing with High belting. There are at least 3 examples in Batboy...
A little known fact is that in the original screenplay, Pan's Labyrinth was Pan's FLAByrinth. Hmmmmmmm...glad they changed it.

re: Kate Shindle's Money Note

No offence to the wonderful Kaitlin Hopkins but Ms Shindle mixes up to that high A flat so much more powefully....although Rebecca Vere on the London cast of Bat Boy may give her a run for the money.

Kate needs her own show, as does Julia Murney...

THEY SHOULD DO A SHOW TOGETHER!!!

re: Kate Shindle's Money Note

I was worried she would look to old in the role, but Kate does tear it up.

Does anyone know what note Leslie Kritzer hit at the end of the opening number of Broadway Bares? I remember it was amazing, but I'm not one of those kids with perfect pitch.
If the audience could do better, they'd be up here on stage and I'd be out there watching them. - Ethel Merman

re: Kate Shindle's Money Note

In terms of other shows with that note belted, the immediate example which came to mind was the last "more right" of "Once Upon a Time" from BKLYN. The actual sustained note is an F#, but the initial higher note is that G#, or Ab.

I thought this thread was going to be about something different
"Never before has an American president been so closely tied to a foreign power that harbors and supports our country's mortal enemies."

OMG, you guys, this whole "money note" thing is like musical porn. You are sooo obsessed. And apparently Kate Shindle gives full release and LBB does not.

Bumping an old thread because this board should be more outraged she's not on Broadway. I vote for Kate Shindle to play the lead in Waitress after she's done with Fun Home.

I saw her in Fun Home this spring and she was PERFECT. A powerful presence and voice. I would gladly see her in whatever part comes next.

Need a Hillary Clinton musical 10 years from now, with Shindle in the lead.

Kind of wish they'd bring the Fun Home tour to Broadway for a limited run.
