Latest rumor. Vosk will take over untill Mcphee returns. It works with her schedule as she is rumored to be the new elphba in July. She also posted that she is working on a new project and had coustume fittings about a week ago. I personally think torns is taking over again.

McPhee will only be out for two weeks. Seems pointless to bring in someone new for only two weeks. Torns seems like the obvious fill in.
A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.
Erich Bergen, the new Dr P starting next week, posted on Instagram earlier today about Katharine’s extension. He also noted that Stephanie would be in for the two weeks Kat is gone. It’s actually two weeks and two days but who’s counting :).
I hadn't thought of visiting NYC until December or so. But now, I'm very interested in seeing Katharine McPhee in "Waitress" and Donna Murphy in "Dolly". I'm very interested.
"Noel [Coward] and I were in Paris once. Adjoining rooms, of course. One night, I felt mischievous, so I knocked on Noel's door, and he asked, 'Who is it?' I lowered my voice and said 'Hotel detective. Have you got a gentleman in your room?' He answered, 'Just a minute, I'll ask him.'" (Beatrice Lillie)

Oh 110%"
People want her to play the role so badly. Waitress wants to make money. She is will not make Waitress money. Not the dollars and cents that they’re after. Maybe she can do the tour or maybe if they stunt cast the rest of the company but she doesn’t have a strong enough “why?” factor besides her talent. Unfortunately talent alone is not enough for the producers of this show in this stage of the show’s running.
Paid plenty of attention. Still didn’t enjoy it. ?????? She sang it well, though.

So sad. RhoughtT and prayers for the McPhee family. I'd assume she'll likely be out for two weeks now.

A lovely message from Ms. McPhee on her Twitter feed. All my strength to her family at this sad time. https://twitter.com/katharinemcphee/status/1019082871200313344?s=21
Awww that's sad news. When she posted apologizing that she'd be missing the weekend shows because of a family emergency I thought it must be something serious She's gonna be a hot mess on her first night back, especially singing SUTBM.
I don’t know why they didn’t make some sort of announcement. Sure they didn’t want it to hurt ticket sales but I heard so many people moaning and groaning at the show today. The woman next to us was going on and on about “she must’ve wanted her Sunday afternoons off”... so we leaned over and said “um, her dad just died.” She shut up pretty quick after that.
