Yes, it's unfortunate Katherine couldn't stay with the show. Katherine and Keaton are both exceptionally talented actresses. I'm especially happy for Keaton who is from Seattle, (I'm from Portland) so Go Pacific-Northwesterners! Keaton is doing fantastically in rehearsals, and we all know she gets the most stage time with Angela! Lucky girl!
Stephen: "Could you grab me a coffee?"
Me: "Would you like that with all the colors of the wind?"
Yay Keaton! I saw her in Shrek last year in Seattle, and thought she was superior to Leah Greenhaus. I don't know the circumstances regarding her Broadway transfer, but I thought she should have gone to Broadway, or even been on the Cast Recording over Leah if she did.
I actually met Keaton at the stage door of Next to Normal this summer the day before the Tony Awards. She didn't transfer to Broadway with Shrek because of her height. She was recast because she couldn't fit in the Young Shrek costume / Outhouse set piece.
As you may or may not know, Katherine is now involved in the production once again.

ATTENTION FANS: I will be played by James Barbour in the upcoming musical, "BroadwayWorld: The Musical."
I have heard that Katherine Doherty final performance in ALNM will be the last weekend in January. Why would someone leave a show so quickly?
What is the height limit for Frederika's? Who were the Frederika's being considered before? It seemed like the Frederika's were the very last to be announced. I would assume they would add someone else to alternate with Keaton Whittaker.
