PBS isn't at all a good indication of what her performance is. I saw her twice and she was far better than she was on the broadcast. She's not perfect but she's still worth seeing

Yeah, the PBS broadcast was not very good. She was much better when I saw her live. Don't skip out just because of what you saw on TV!

Sondheim_Geek: Diana DiMarzio was with the tour when it played at the Kennedy Center in January. I saw that she was on as the Tour Guide the night I went to see it.
I chose, and my world was shaken. So what?
The choice may have been mistaken. The choosing was not.

I just got an email today from Broadway in Boston featuring the normal Piazza advertisement, only with Katie Clarke photoshopped into the picture with David Burnham and Christine Andreas, so it must be official.

Wow, I thought I was the only one who wasn't crazy about Elena.

Katie has indeed taken over the role of Clara on the tour. I saw her tonight which was her opening night. She was AMAZING!! I talked with her at the stage door - she said she had been working with her voice teacher on the music and I could tell as I have sadly memorized the audio recordings of the show. She and Christine were amazing - the whole cast was - YAY for a great tour cast!!!

well, even if someone really crappy took over I'd still see the show, I LOVE Piazza....
and it does make me feel good when I can hit the notes better than the person on stage :) bwahahahah...

I saw Katie last night - She was amazing! She is indeed better in person. I had no idea she'd joined the show until the curtain went up and I saw her and thought, wow, she looks a lot like the other woman. I just thought they used the same wig. :)

I wish the tour would come to Texas. It definitely should since Katie's in it now and she's from here. I really want to see this show.

I saw Elena on tour in LA and didn't care for her at all (I thought she looked and acted way too old). Having seen Kelli in NYC and Kelly on PBS, I definitely liked Kelly best. I may need to see the show a third time in the OC now...

Evangelia was awful when I saw her in Des Moines. I was scared of her. I hope Diana is an improvement.

Sorry to double post, but does anyone know why she now goes by Katie Rose Clarke? I assume she already had her Equity card when she played Clara on Broadway, so why would she change it now?

I was wondering the same exact thing.
