Does anyone know the full story, about Kerry Ellis telling the fangirls, they should have pins thrown at them or something to that effect.
There is an very bad audio on You Tube, but hoping someone here might know the whole story.
As far as I can understand, when Kerry ran offstage in the scene before No Good Deed, she told someone backstage to "take the pins and throw them at the girls in the front row" not realizing that her mike was still on and everyone heard it. There's a clip of it on youtube.
And now all the fangirls are pissed at her for being ungrateful or something, I don't listen to them that much. All I know is I love this story so much I want to have sex with it.

They were sitting in the front row and annoying Kerry, so Kerry went offstage and not knowing her mic was still on said she wished someone would throw pins at them. They started crying...
I don't mind... but you should have out this on the west end board.
It's already on the West End Board.

I had no idea that this happened during her time in the London production.
I listened to audio and it was hard to make out what she said!
Thanks for the all the info, is it wrong that Kerry Ellis has just become my new Hero?
That is not wrong at all.

I know as a fact from meeting Kerry twice and from her calling Broadway audiences a funeral or something to that style that she likes her fans and some cheering, but these girls must have annoyed her to no end.
Well just listening to the audio leading up to her saying that I was annoyed by the fangirls constantly interrupting the scene with their constant screaming.
I was never a Kerry Ellis fan until that incident.

Pins? Like safety pins? Is there significance to that, or were pins just the first sharp object that came to her mind?!?!

Interesting, since Broadway audiences tend to be much more enthusiastic than London audiences.

"Interesting, since Broadway audiences tend to be much more enthusiastic than London audiences"
That comment bugs me a little, granted the Broadway audiences tend to be a little more OTT, its not like the brits sit there quietly and clap. If anything i would say during shows like Mamma Mia they are far louder. London shows like We Will Rock You, Fame, Footloose, Wicked, Dirty Dancing ALWAYS have annoying people screaming all the way through them.

I actually assumed she meant her hair pins or pins in her costume or something. Since she was backstage, I guess I just thought someone was adjusting her wig/costume and she said to take those pins. I actually have no idea though, lol.
I'm glad to know that she did it when she was already backstage. At first I thought she just walked off-stage DURING the cornfield/catfight scene, not when she was already backstage going to her spot for No Good Deed.
Her comment about Broadway audiences being like a funeral bugs me. We're always enthusiastic, especially if we are loving the show (and every time I've seen Wicked especially). Just because we don't have screaming fangirls doesn't mean we're dead. Maybe Broadway audiences just didn't like her, lol.
I thought it might be hair pins she was talking about.
And I definitely think she made the remark because of the screaming. And that is hilariously fabulous.
