....the final workshop, that is.

The final workshop of Douglas Carter Beane's adaptation will take place from Jan. 20- Jan. 21 at the Minetta Lane Theatre (invite, only). Christopher Ashley directs the show which uses music from the film.

The cast includes Jane Krakowski, Cheyenne Jackson, Tony Roberts, Mary Testa, Jackie Hoffman, Jen Cody, Darius de Haas, Tyler Maynard, David Tankersley, and Marty Thomas.

It opens on May 7 at the Helen Hayes.

I can't wait to see Cheyenne Jackson he is one of my idols.I am so glad that his broadway career is becoming sucessful. I can't wait till tix go on sale.

Well Janie was in STARLIGHT EXPRESS so her skating probably kicked Butler's butt outta there.

Anyone read the script or been to a workshop?
Is the show "campy"?

Does anyone know how Krakowski will work this along with 30 Rock? I assume it will be renewed for another season...the summer hiatus isn't all that long.

Provided it's renewed, they'll be on break until at least mid-July, early August. Following that, since it's taped in NYC, she can work there during the day. Been done before.
