How fantastic Joanna Lumley is coming to Broadway.

Happy to learn this because I missed the original. However, does this mean that Jerusalem wont be done in the US, at least not with Rylance? I would have loved to see him do a part so very different than what he did so brilliantly in Boeing Boeing.
Boeing-Boeing is a limited run until January, and I believe the plan is to produce Jerusalem on Broadway shortly after that. I can't imagine they'd do it without Rylance.
^ And by Boeing-Boeing I of course mean La Bete.
I don't know if Jerusalem is definitely being done on Broadway - sadly I can easily imagine it not happening.

October really isn't that far away, ColortheHours. It's almost June now. It will undoubtedly start previews in late September, which is only about 4 months away. It will actually be one of the first shows of the new Broadway season.
I find it interesting that tickets go on sale tomorrow and they didn't announce a theater.
It feels far. Let me be an impatient 5-year-old LOL.

I got to see La Bete in 1991 before it closed so quickly and I really liked it. This should be good.
Here is the pricing from Telecharge:
Orchestra: $121.50
Mezzanine Rows A-J: $121.50
Mezzanine Rows K-L: $76.50
The Broadhurst and Music Box both match the dimensions indicated.
Something tells me it's the Music Box.

I heard Jerusalem was aiming to start in the spring of next year, so I imagine Rylance would follow La Bete's NY run with it.

Is October 14th the first day of previews or the official opening? If it's the first day of previews, does anyone know the offical opening date? Likewise, if it's the official opening date, does anyone know the first day of previews?
Telecharge and the BWW article both say previews start on September 23.

Thank you, Yero.
Any chance to see Mark Rylance is good by me! And, by all means, bring JERUSALEM. I read the play last night and feel in love with it.
Joanna Lumley interviewed by the BBC's smug know-all Andrew Marr this morning (paraphrasing):
"Everything I say about this will put you off it: it's set in c16th France and written in iambic pentameter."
She also expressed how in London it is being done in a very small theatre and the Broadway house is twice the size, and so the cast will all have to adapt their acting styles in the journey across the Atlantic.
Personally, I've seen Lumley twice on stage. Once many years ago in Private Lives and once recently in The Cherry Orchard. In both cases I'd say she gave a good performance but not a great one.
