I just found out that the LADY DAY cast recording will be the full show, recorded live over 3 different performances which is AMAZING. Thought I'd pass that along. :)
That is a brilliant way to record a show like this.
That's so cool. It would be perfect if it was multi-disc with Audra performing the songs in-studio in her own voice too.

God I CAN NOT wait for this!!!!
It's gonna be released July 15th by PS Classics. They are recording it live this week and it will be a 2 disc full recording.
This is gonna be PHENOMENAL!

There is a special place in heaven for P.S. Classics.
Amen!! I could not be more excited for this! This is such fantastic news to hear.
I was hoping this would happen!
There are sound clips on PS Classics' website. It sounds amazing. I can't wait to listen to the whole thing
Why can't more shows do the same and record it live- Hedwig really should have, because the album sounds sleepy.
I think they need to record this for Great Performances. No offense, but I don't want to listen to an album of someone who is singing off-key, etc. It's a KILLER performance, I think it needs to be seen rather than listened to.

Just make sure there's at least one performance where Shia LaBeouf isn't there to "comment"
People will be disappointed when they realize it isn't actually part of the show

Apparently Shia LaBeouf was kicked out of Cabaret for shouting comments during the performance
And that has what exactly to do with the LADY DAY cast recording?

Sorry if I offended. It was just a joke. Shia LaBeouf is like a metaphor for disruptive audience members. If someone were to shout something it could ruin the recording
Do you know what a metaphor is?

Yes
"A metaphor is a figure of speech that describes a subject by asserting that it is, on some point of comparison, the same as another otherwise unrelated object."
i.e. a disruptive audience member is compared to Shia LaBeouf. Why the need for an English lesson?

That's why these things are recorded over multiple performances.
And when I say "multiple" that's a metaphor for "different".

That's why I said make sure he's not at at least one performance. Okay if you didn't get the joke lets just leave it at that.

Stephan I know you're new. Please keep your Shia "jokes" out of threads about Audra. Thanks.

^^ I figured that was a bad idea...
