I'm also really upset about the show closing. I had the pleasure of seeing it last tuesday, and it was definitely an eye opening show. I loved it so much. The second act wasn't as good as the first, I'll admit, but the ending was definitely powerful. I was sobbing. Everyone around me, including my dad (who like never cries at anything), was crying. This show and cast really expressed how inspirational this man was, and still is today. Every moment of this show was filled with energy. The cast was having a ball. The entire cast put so much heart and soul into expressing the story. Julie was crying during Grow Old With Me.
I don't think that the audiences Lennon has had, with the exception of some, really look that much into the story. They just look at the faults of the show and leave it at that. And honestly, in my opinion, I find that kind of sad.
It's going to be hard to see this show go, but all we can really do is wish the cast, yoko, and john up in heaven all the best.
i agree ponine. it's a very powerful show. thanks for your comments!
it will be very sad to see this go.

Catthy- Where'd you sit Saturday afternoon?
sat afternoon i was in row P orchestra on the left side. but during intermission i moved up to the extreme left seats in the front row. they were amazing because i was right in front of chuck when he made his speech at the end. he also kept looking over to my seat during most of the second act and winking. i love him. i love the whole cast.
i love lennon.
Ah. I sat AA108, which was much fun. Although the two times I sat in front row, I'm never right in the center, so I don't catch the purple flower. They were still really good seats though. During the Ballad of John and Yoko, Julie just looked at me and gave me a huge grin. And Chad made a really funny face at me during Watchin' the Wheels which made me laugh really hard at a totally wrong time in the show. I had a great time, though.
Afterwards, most of the cast told me I looked very happy sitting in the front row. Mandy went "you were like 'Yaaay!'" I agree. I love the whole cast.
I can't go to the closing.

Is Lennon going to have student tix on Saturday??
i'm pretty sure they'll have student tickets.
sitting in the front row makes me happy!! i love watching the wheels. we gave it an extra applause the last time i saw it. will was like...ok, stop now! it was cute. i love it.
UGH so sad. I can't bring myself to go to the last show. Saw it last Saturday and it was best I've ever seen it. *sigh* Haven't loved a show this much in a long time.

She has nine days left!
I can't wait to see her on BWAY again!
hey cathy, you might have been the person I talked to at last Thursdays performance. Were you originally in row J and then moved up to front row with your two friends at intermission? The reason I ask is because I talked to someone and they too said they were going to see Lennon at both performances on Sat. just thought I would ask. I really hope they record a CD, especially because one of my favorite songs from the show was the one that Terrence Mann sings towards the end at the piano.
i can't wait to see all of the cast members on stage again!
i feel like a lot of them have been in flops and it's sad.
will and chad were in good vibration and mandy was in dance of the vampires. i want to see them in more! they're all so talented.
hey dotvmike! no, i wasn't at last thursday's performance...so you didn't talk to me! but i like your username!! DOTV rocks my vampire socks! i love it.
i love lennon.
Well thank you very much and may I say your Pic. rocks MY vampire socks...Mandy was absolutely amazing in DOTV and even more so in Lennon!

i love mandy. we are love. she does to me what julia murney does to emcee. i'm sure she understands.
i want her to be in something else. soon. i want to see her as elphaba, as bad as that sounds. but i feel like she'd rock that. and i'd see wicked for her. but i want to originate more parts too.
As upsetting as Lennon closing is, we now get to look forward to all the new and excting projects all of the cast memebrs get involved with...especially Mandy!

yay! that will be the beacon of hope. i can't say it enough. this cast is so talented, it hurts.
I saw the show again tonight (it was Michael's bday) and will be there Friday night and Saturday night. I can't believe the show is closing... well I guess I can believe it but it still makes me sad. I know I am going to be a sappy, teary mess come Saturday night. Ths show made my summer so enjoyable. I will miss seeing this cast all together but wish them luck in all of their future projects (and hopefully we will see them on the boards again soon).
i comletely agree.
i was a sad ball of tears when i saw it last weekend!
i expect some sort of reviews/comments from those of you who are there saturday...or even any of the remaining performances! i want to live vicariously through you!

What's the real reason you're not going to the closing? It makes no sense.
I really wish I could have seen this production. Too many people in the cast that I absolutely love on stage for me to not enjoy it.
To all of you going to closing have fun!
I don't suppose any of you would happen to have an extra Lennon playbill that you could spare?
Wait -- Will had attachment to Good Vibrations? I know Chad did, but Will? Really? Poor Will! Glad he got out fast(er).
(Julia Murney just equals love. Cathy... )
whoops! i was wrong...will had nothing to do with good vibrations! i could have sworn i read that somewhere....but alas, i stand corrected!
