Leaving the show now and I agree with the above, it’s even stronger now than it was before. The play is absolutely brilliant. Both hilarious and devastating, it’s one of the best new plays in years and if anything deserves to find an audience, it’s this one.

For the question above about the tears
Buckets around me this afternoon for the penultimate scene or the Mother scene. Well deserved. Maybe one of the best moments in the whole play.
I liked it overall but the 4th wall breaks, meta theatrical nature didn’t always work. When it did though, it was special.
Ensemble was terrific and the entire featured actress in a play category could be just them.

Question for those who have seen this both on Broadway and at the Pels
At the end, after Lizzie talks to “her mother”, she was on the floor on her knees and does a silent scream (don’t know what else to call it) that I found extremely moving but don’t remember that moment off Broadway. Does anyone know or remember if that did happen there?
