Actor's Equity has sent reps to EVERY tour and sit down in the country to be with them through negotiations and anything else that might happen.
This is from AEA website: "At its meeting on Nov. 8, 2007, Council amended AEA's current budget to provide $2.3 million for benefits "in the event of a lockout and/or strike." The amendment modified a previous resolution which only mentioned a lock-out.
As a precautionary measure, members who are working on Broadway and on all tours are advised to remove their personal effects from their dressing room/backstage areas. Also as a precautionary measure, Equity staff has been deployed on the road to visit every touring and sit-down Point-of- Organization show."
Hopefully it does NOT effect the tours but it sure is being made to feel like it's a possibility out here.
"God, I hope it's not a REAL emergency...I only brought one bottle of Vodka!"
That's my Diva Dog, Sake in the picture.
