Tking,
"IMO", "B4? Huh, what are you three. Can you not write full fledged sentences?
Furthermore, they are rush seats, they aren't known for being the best. And, I sat in the boxes for La Cage's rush. The seats are fine and it is unfortunate that you let the fact that you mis the top corner of the stage get to you.
As it was stated, everything happens pretty much front and center. So, even if you were not able to see the full view of the stage. That wouldn't have mattered due to the view that you would have gotten from the box.
And, think of it, it is the job of the box office worker to sell tickets. Do you think that they are ever going to say " buy this seat, good sir. The view is awful.?" No, of course not. Why should the Longacre staff have to suffer for your inability to realize that ?
Furthermore, you can by full view balcony tickets for the same price you got Rush for.

Poor little tking. He classifies this as a "disaster".
Some people are so damned pampered, it's disgusting.

Infact Winston
I was at the August Wilson over the weekend looking into tickets for Jersey boys and the man told me he had seats at $88, I asked them how bad they were and he said "They are pretty bad you don't want these"

A whole $3...wow...
I would be more inclined to be on your side if you weren't lucky to be getting seats for that price in the first place. Be grateful for what you get, beggars can't be choosers.

Tking,
So you pick the one time someone says something that goes with what you like as an exception to the rule.
Also, As it was just said, you should be lucky to be getting the tickets at the price you did. And, if you can't spring the extra three bucks for a full view seat then there are more problems here then you realize.
You beg for shows to have rush all the time. Bombard the forum with questions about rushes and lottos. And, yet, this is how you act when one doesn't go your way?

How come I never thought of writing to complain about bad seats? I'm thinking of all these (now closed) shows where I couldn't see a thing, some which were billed as full view...
To tking-
Out of curiosity, does it say "partial view" anywhere on your ticket?

Nope It didn't say partial view at all on the ticket
and like I've had seats for example at Fela where they said it was partial view and it said so on the ticket but I missed almost nothing so for that partial view was fine
La cage was a WAY different story
I also remember a few months back I rushed Jersey boys
I got seats in the front row
A 3 & 5 "partial view" because according to the box office they are "too close" I had a blast it was awesome being that close I don't feel like I missed anything. If Anything I had a better experience because I felt I was more in the action.
So I guess it depends on the house

I don't know about tickets bought online (never do it due to the high service charges) but, I have walked out of the box office at times with a ticket that was a partial view ticket. There was either a big red stamp with the words "partial view, in big capital letters." Somewhere printed on the bottom of the ticket it says partial view.
But, I don't think that theatres consider box seats to be partial view seats. They consider them to be just that. Box seats.
Adam, while you're right that in the past I have made comments that I even go back to and laugh about. You have to realize that people change and to say that I can't comment about someone else doing something wrong because I said something stupid two years ago (or whatever the length of time it was) is crazy. That is saying that someone can't learn from their mistakes at all.

>>>"Im curious to hear why you think that?"<<<
[Why the question mark?]
Your mother joins you for rush tickets and expects to be seated 10th row center. She gets partial view tickets (she probably paid for them) and after watching 10 minutes of the show leaves with you. Basically, she flushed about $60 down the toilet because her bargain seats aren't good enough for her or her pampered son.
You got your spoiled brat attitude from your mommy dearest.

Posted: 1/17/11 at 9:30pmTo be totally honest tking, had you done research on this site before rushing La Cage, you would have seen many people said skip rush and buy the balcony seats. I know even posted that after I did their rush. The seats sucked, but I didn't know any better. I have seen at least a half dozen threads since them promoting the balcony over the boxes.

Posted: 1/17/11 at 9:47pmI've been looking for opinions on the balcony seats vs. rush seats for La Cage, and I had heard to go for rush seats. Maybe more people were commenting on that when La Cage first opened, but not recently. Anyway, despite what this thread says, I'm going for the rush tickets next Sunday and I'm glad to know what I can expect from them.
