Holy crap, she NAILED it! I didn't know she was that amazing! Give her a Broadway show pronto!
I know! I'm godsmacked by that performance.
This puts her in the running for a whole lot more of the fantasy casting of movie musicals we do around here...
That is not something I expected from her. She was AMAZING!

It looks like her NYU Tisch and Circle in the Square training definitely paid off!
She really was phenomenal. Folks sometimes forget she is a classically trained vocalist and pianist.
I was blown away! She needs to get herself on Broadway.
Has anyone seen any of her acting?
Absolutely incredible. It gave me chills. Now I'm really curious what Sound of Music Live would've been like had she been cast as Maria in place of Carrie.

Inspiring performance. I've always admired Gaga for being a talented artist all around. From acting, theatrics, storytelling, song writing, and singing, she's truly remarkable.
I said for years that the gimmicks were just that, a way of getting noticed... to make a name... now she can do whatever she wants... that performance... a jazz grammy a few weeks ago... she can write her own ticket.

Surprised at all the surprised reactions. Gaga belts her face off in her concerts and has always shown she has a huge range.
Where was Lady Gaga for the Sound of Music Live?

I dont want to be the lone dissenter, but I found her vibrato weak. Also the songs seemed to be in a lower key.

Call me when tickets go on sale for a Sound of Music Revival starring Lady Gaga.
I had no idea she was such a fantastic singer/belter.
She should do Funny Girl.
I just wish she would stick to material suited for her talents instead of the crap pop-art she puts out there.
No WONDER Madonna hates her. She can actually sing!
I came here looking for snark. Disappointed, BWW.
Disappointed

That. ACL2006, you hit how I feel. I found Gaga's work to initially be fun and new, but she never really changed until she did her album with Tony Bennett. It just got old fast. I love how she supports her fans, but I think she's capable of so much more.

Great job, But why was she dressed like Elsa from Frozen.

I never cry during performances, but the transition into the end with the chorus...and Julie friggin' Andrews walking out on stage? I lost it.
