Will the lamb puppet be making another appearance?
Such exciting news!

Is it the same actress that played June at city Center going to be in the bway version?

Yep. Leighann (?) Larkin.
Also, it should be noted, that Lenora Nemetz will be replacing Nancy Opel as Mazeppa.

YAY!!!!! SAMMI GAYLE!!!!!!
i just loved her!!!!!
that girl is gonna be a STAR!!!!!
Who is standing by for LuPone?

Not too thrilled about Yazbeck, but otherwise YAY!!
I loved Leigh Ann Larkin!!
Also, they're using the Ravinia picture for this news piece as well...It's the same photoshopped, trimmed down, strapless shoes Patti from the "art work."
Well that's my fangirl moment of the day. I'm especailly excited to see Larkin and Fraser returning. The rest of the cast too (those who are) but I had my fingers crossed especially for those two!
somethingwicked, my *guess would be Lenora Nemetz (or at least as an understudy, provided they still hire a standby.) I am looking forward to seeing Ms. Nemetz back on a Broadway stage; the woman has a wonderful list of credits and is abundantly talented.

Yes, I assume Nemetz is the Mamma Rose understudy/standby/whathaveyou.

I think it would actually be interesting to see the "understudy/standby/whathaveyou" for Patti LuPone perform, if that ever happens. Just to see what the casting people/producers have lined up in case La LuPone ever misses.

& i'm excited to see them use Norn's design
Sounds like a great cast!
I too had my fingers crossed for Larkin. So excited.
Although it would be a completely different interpretation from LuPone, I'd love to have Maureen Moore understudy her
I'm sure producers would want someone brassier and much more like Loops though.

Sami and Leigh Ann were the two highlights of the CC cast, I'm dying to see them perform again!
Moore already was standby in 2003, it would be strange bringing her back from beyond the production and instead from a past revival.

Lenora Nemetz is awesome and my friend Beckley is in it?! WTF?!?!
I know she did, she was a million times better than Bernie.
Do you mean you think they'll pick someone from the CC production to be the u/s? Wouldn't have have been listed in the full casting?
I'm assuming Lenora will play Miss Cratchit also?

I'm glad Nancy Opel didn't give up The Drowsy Chaperone for a much less featured part in this show. Is there going to be a standby for Laura Benanti as well...I know in the past there has been standbys for Louise and she's been known to get injured/sick in the past (don't attack me for that, not Donna Murphy-esque, but you know what I mean). God forbid though, hopefully nothing will happen!
I'm assuming Lenora will play Miss Cratchit also?
- I'm assuming that too. It would be great if Marilyn Caskey could play Cratchit. It would probably increase her chances of being considered for a Tony nomination for her scene-stealing Electra.
I am not so sure Nemetz is going to cover LuPone, at least not exclusively.
The casting breakdowns specifically said that they were casting a standby for Rose, and since Nemetz is already playing Mazeppa, she wouldn't fit that description.
I'm seconding the YAY Sammi Gayle!!!! That girl works it big time!!
I have a feeling maybe Judy Kaye is leaving the SWEENEY tour to be the stand-by for LuPone (again).

Would Judy Kaye actually take a standby gig?
To be technical, she wasn't LuPone's standby in Sweeney - she was the leave-replacement...with her name above the title in the Playbill.
