did anyone see this episode where Larry David is Max and David Schwimmer is Leo? It was hysterical! But, HOW MUCH does something like this cost!?! They showed a HUGE chunk of the show with larry/david in the roles using the bway cast (cady huffman) the actual theater, sets, costumes, playbills, orch, audience ,stro and brooks...Did they do this on a monday and also, i'm assuming they had to pay the company extra for rehersals for the tv show? It was really well put together though.

No WAY! You think they would have promoted it or something.
one day, i will lick the hair off that chest.
Wait, what's this now? I am confused.
On a TV show, David Schwimmer and Larry David dressed are Bloom and Bialystock in THE PRODUCERS and they performed some musical numbers on the TV show? Did I get that right?
What show?

Some sort of show apparently. Sounds like a cross between Friends and Seinfeld.
"Curb Your Enthusiasm" on HBO.
The show itself was aggravating, but the Producers segments were very funny.
Cady Huffman with a picture of Bush was hilarious, it actually stopped Jittery David in the act, which is pretty crazy. Come on, it's Cady Huffman!
It was fun seeing Brooks in a producers like story-line. I was wondering when they would admit he was horrible. Even if it was toungue in cheek.
I saw it too. It was extremely hysterical. Especially the scene at the rehearsal when they were all arguing over David's watch being lost. Was that just all ad-libbed? Hysterical. Plus the entire thing being a wink at the original movie, it was great. I loved it. But, I really don't think Larry David or David Shwimmer would be at all breathtaking as Max and Leo, but they seemed to be having fun. I really hated the glasses, though.
They remind me of that creepy little-old man thing from the Six Flags TV spots.
My brother said the exact same thing about Larry looking like the Great Adventure man when he had those stupid glasses on lol. I loved how Mel Brooks put Larry David into the show because he thought that Larry would close the producers from being awful and he'd be free of the "producers" for good.
The first time I saw this was some months ago when they first aired it. It was also the first time I'd seen more than 10 minutes of "Curb," and I thought most of the humor was forced and contrived, although it had its moments.
The look on Larry David's face after Cady says she's a Rebuplican is priceless! And of course, anything Steven Colbert does is hilarious.
you've got napkin on your face.

Actually that's the only episode of Curb Your Enthusiasm I've ever seen, strangely enough. So imagine me sitting in a room full of engineers who have been to the theatre like, twice in their entire lives. I'm FREAKING OUT and they're looking at me like I have two heads.
But David Schwimmer....sucked. No other word to describe it.
It was absolutley wonderful seeing Cady Huffman.......and SUSAN STROMAN!! I nearly died.
that episode is a repeat --- its from season 4 ... cady huffman guest starred in the first episode of season 4 also.
originally it was ben stiller but he withdrew so david schwimmer took over the role of leo.
throughout the season they showed some "rehearsal clips" of just larry ... the tap dancing lesson was the best
Wasn't that the point of the show? Mel Brooks and his wife were fed up with The Producers and were trying to close it, so they casts David Schwimmer and Larry David as Leo and Max. They were horrible and Larry David couldn't remember his lines and the audience starts laughing "Mel Brooks is a genius! He's done it again!"
