So I have plans to be in the city this weekend to see Cabaret with friends, and may unexpectedly have some time open up to see some additional shows. Anyone have recommendations for whether any of the following are worth seeing (I have the option of two):
&Juliet
Back to the Future
Hells Kitchen
Illinoise
Oh, Mary! (would need to purchase from StubHub - box office is sold out)
Once Upon a Mattress
The Outsiders (would likely need to purchase from StubHub)
Stereophonic
Suffs

Personally, I would pare that list down to & Juliet, Illinoise, Oh, Mary!, Stereophonic, & Suffs (although haven't seen Outsiders yet), with Stereophonic at the top.
My two cents, in order of preference:
Assuming you live near a touring market or will be back in NYC at some point, you'll probably have ample opportunities to see Juliet, BTTF, and HK.
Mattress was enjoyable enough at Encores but skippable. It's middling material that isn't elevated by the production.
I think it depends what you’re looking for. In my opinion, Illinoise, Oh Mary and Outsiders are the best, but Illinoise isn’t everybody’s thing. I’d say the same about Oh Mary bc I don’t know how well you do with risqué humor. Outsiders is probably the most recommendable because it works for anyone. Hell’s Kitchen and Mattress are both good but not great. People fawn over Stereophonic, but I did not. That’s why I think it’s preference. Have fun with whatever you choose!
SUFFS and BACK TO THE FUTURE. I think you’d also like great Gatsby
Don't miss.......Oh, Mary - Just sit anywhere!!!
