I used to live in NYC and once I figured out how to work TDF/rushes/lottos I was able to see everything. I moved away about a year ago so I'm not able to see everything anymore. I booked a trip from Dec 24-29 JUST to see shows. Does anyone have any recommendations for must-sees from the newer offerings? I'm more of a Broadway/Musical person but would absolutely consider plays and off-Broadway. I've seen everything that's been around for more than 2 years and I've seen The Color Purple, Hamilton, An American in Paris and Hand to God. I'm thinking I'll have room for 4-5 shows.

Couldn't disagree more. King Charles is probably one of the best plays on broadway in the past couple of years.
- "The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time" if you haven't yet
- "Invisible Thread" at Second Stage if it's still running is a must-see!
- I really loved the new production of "Fiddler
-"The King and I"
The King and I, Something Rotten, King Charles III, and Curious Incident
Chicago....Dames at Sea
Curious Incident and Spring Awakening. Hands down.
King and I
Fiddler on the Roof
Something Rotten
Noises Off
King Charles III or School of Rock
Add "The Color Purple" to the list.

Lazarus is sold out but has a lottery starting 12/28. They also release some last minute tickets at full price.

Thanks everyone! I'm going to prioritize Spring Awakening, The King and I and School of Rock and then see what else I have time for. I saw The Color Purple on a planned trip here last week (was the only thing I got a chance to see) and Fun Home when it was at The Public. I attempted The Curious Incident last year but was not in a good place emotionally that night so I left in the middle of the first act. Might give it another go.

Oh I missed in your original post that you saw the Color Purple. I would go for School of Rock then out of the ones you mentioned...so fun.
Fun Home, Spring Awakening, Curious Incident, and A View From the Bridge are all must-sees imo. King Charles III is also excellent.
