This just in from Laura's publicist at 42West:
Broadway actress, Laura Benanti, currently starring as Gypsy Rose Lee in Gypsy, will be unable to perform during this week's Tuesday – Thursday’s shows under her doctor's instructions. Benanti has been diagnosed with walking pneumonia, but her doctor is optimistic that she will be able to return to the production by this Friday.

Yikes. Hope she feels better.
When I saw "diagnosed" my heart stopped for a second. But still, I hope she gets better.
Seems like it will be speedy. She's going back on Friday.
I always thought walking pneumonia took longer to recover from
Were seeing the show this Saturday... Hopefully she will be back by then!

O, I hope she gets better soon.
Weird, i saw her perform on Sunday and she didn't seem sick. though she didnt come to the stagedoor...
I hope she does feel better soon. She was my favorite part of the entire production.
And, I am glad that this isn't yet another thread about a Benanti absence that got turned into " she is faking it she gets sick all the time" thread.

When I had walking pneumonia it took nearly two weeks to recover once it had been diagnosed. Of course the earlier it's diagnosed, the shorter the recovery time.
I hope she feels better soon!
aw Laura I hope you are feeling better! i'm gonna be at the show next Wednesday so hopefully she'll be back, but I wish her the best. My friend who is the lead in the show we are in has the same thing and he's in the hospital

Ugh. Again?
Laura Benanti is an AMAZING performer. Truly transcendent.
But she needs to show up.
And she doesn't.
It's a pattern with her, and I suspect it has something to do with her father, Martin Vidnovic, who has a horrible reputation with showing up as well. It seems like he taught her it's okay to miss performances.
And it's not.
Feel better soon, Laura!
I went tonight and saw her understudy. She was fabulous. She even shined brighter then Patti. Go see her if you have a chance.
Feel better, Laura!
And die a long, slow agonizing death, ZippyCringe. The sooner the better.
