I have to agree with you, Muscle. Laura Benanti's one of my absolute favorites and her health is everything.
She is incredibly beautiful and so very talented. Her performance in "Into the Woods" was truly wonderful.

Muscle, in theater there are these great people called understudies that you've probably never heard of because the mediocre scores of The Wedding Singer and Tarzan are playing too loud in your head. Now these amazing understudies are there to replace the principal actor/actress of a show when he/she is out sometimes for a day, sometimes for a long period of time. As an actress Laura Benanti is entitled to one of these understudies you just learned about and her understudy is able to cover for her until Ms.Benanti is completely healthy without the need for the producers of the show to replace her. OK? OK
Well, that was rude.
i saw her in Wedding Singer when it was in previews and thought she was really good!
For Laura...wishing her a speedy recovery and return to her role in "The Wedding Singer."
Her "Unusual Way" still remains the one performance that actually changed my sexual orientation for the duration of her singing it.
Every. time.
^ I think there are a lot of people that would agree with you.
That was NUTS.
Does anyone else think that Madchen Amick and Laura resemble each other?

hmm do you guys think that the theater would forward laura's mail over to her? i'm sure she has a lot of get well wishes piling up over there, and since she probably won't return to tws..what do you think they'll do with her mail?
Unless the show closes before her leave is over, she's going to return as far as I know.
I'm not sure about her mail, but I don't think they forward it. I'm guessing it sits at the theater until she goes and gets it. Though, if you want to wish her well you can e-mail her through her website.
Bump! (Just because I felt like it.)
