I agree it's a much better costume.. Too bad it's gold..should be white but still I checked out the lotr website it looks like this version should be better. If you guys haven't checked her music out, she's fantastic on her solo album

Yea, it's from Theatre.com.

Considering even guys on Broadway and the West End wear wigs in almost every show, I'd be shocked if that wasn't one too. Also in all the rehearsal videos with Laura she's still got her ebony locks. So I'm sure it comes on and off each night.

Ooooh. That looks cool. It must be hard to create a completely different looking Lord of the Rings, since the movies are so fresh in everyone's mind and the characters looks are so specific. But that looks amazing.

I saw this in Toronto and Galdriel was the standout of the show, along with Michael's brilliant Gollum. Her costume was stunning...and I am glad to see they managed to top themselves.

EponineThenardier- I think everyone knows it was a wig, but the question is if it is all one piece or if it is all in different pieces and put together every performance.

Most likely one piece that has the ability to be taken apart for maintenance.

In the rehearsal videos they show LMK doing some aerial work, which Galadrial did not do in Toronto.

Having seen it live (I was actually one of the first in the world...before it was even in the theatre!) I can agree. The stage itself is so stunning that I almost walked out forgetting the script needed a LOT of work. I am sure they were hard at work though, and hopefully the show can hold up in London.

Me too, Akiva.
I was lucky enough to see it in Toronto, and whatever flaws it might have had were wiped out by the spectacle of it for me. Any time you try to adapt a novel the size of The Lord of the Rings and put it on stage, you're gonna have some issues!
That stage, the lighting and costumes, staging, along with what they did at the end of the first act, blew me away! - no pun intended!

I'm anxious to hear more reviews.

I'd love to hear LMK's take on "Lothlorien" and see if it's on par with Rebecca Jackson Mendoza's version Who, in my opinion should have transfered to the West End with Michael.
