Need to take a few minutes to mull it over...
ETA: Mulled it over and am quite pleased. Best of luck to her!

Awww, that's great! I am very happy for Lauren. I absolutely adore here and I think she'll be great in this.

Well, at least she'll show up more than the current Lady of the Lake.

She'll be great at it. I saw her at the Songs For A New World concert in Boston, and man, can she belt. Beautiful voice, and strong, its a wonder she hasn't received her due yet.
and TOTAL topic change, but I just have to say: Patronus, every time I see you mess around with Norb's picture, it just makes my friggin day. I can't explain it, it just does.

Ha, thanks Scuba Steve! I like to think of NorbertEmcee as my own personal paper doll of expression.

I'm sure you think more of NorbertEmcee as a lot more than that, too. *wink*

HA! Why is it that just because I have a hot scantily clad man as my avatar everyone thinks I'd be doing naughty things with it.
I am a happily married man who just happens to have a little hetero man crush on NorbertEmcee.
To try and get this somewhat back on topic...I figure Norbert and Lauren Kennedy were amazing in the Skokie, IL run of TL5Y. I'm much more interested the show with Lauren in it.

That's what they ALL say.
Nah, you know I love you.
"I'm much more interested the show with Lauren in it." That's exactly how I feel. I was practically boycotting the show but now I'm seriously considering waiting all morning to see Lauren.

I guess I am happy with it. Not too familiar with her but her voice on the website sounds right and she is quite cute. I was hoping Rosena M. Hill, the Standby, would take over, but alas..
Tonya Pinkins: Then we had a "Lot's Wife" last June that was my personal favorite. I'm still trying to get them to let me sing it at some performance where we get to sing an excerpt that's gone.
Tony Kushner: You can sing it at my funeral.

She is an absolute doll and will blow the roof off the Shubert. I hope this leads to more high-profile work for her. In the meantime it does make me more interested in seeing Spamalot.

Hum, I think this casting is really interesting. Regardless, I'm going to have to return to Spamalot early next year.
A little swash, a bit of buckle - you'll love it more than bread.

Sorry to say I have never heard of her but I had never heard of Sara Ramirez before Spamalot either and was blown away. I did check out her website and she has a nice voice from the short clips I could hear. Wonder how her comedic ability is. Someone said they felt this casting was interesting....what do you mean by that? Is it not a natural choice?
Regardless I'm anxious to see how someone else does in the role. I wasn't that impressed with the understudy I saw in it.

Lauren is amazing. Now the question, should I see Spamlot with Sara?
Idina: Somehow I got myself to the stage, came out at the end of the show, and I had some kind of closure.
Some guy: You looked great!
Idina: Thanks...I WAS SO HIGH! 8/21/05

times a million...?
3 people called me by 10 o' clock about this and I still need time to react.
As if I didn't go to class enough already, why don't they just revive Evita with Alice Ripley and let Lisa Brescia take over Marian so I can drop out of school completely.
I'll be back to scream a little bit later.

Lauren is a great lady. I conducted her in a production of NINE at Paper Mill Playhouse right after she graduated from CCM. She played Carla, and she was VERY sexy, VERY funny, and has an AMAZING voice! I couldn't be happier for her.
