You hit the nail on the head ShineOn!!! I've known Lauren for years and while a dear girl and total doll in person and to work with she is far from how that role was originally written and performed.

Bump.
AHHHHHHHHHH!!!!
Does anyone know if Lauren will be eligible for a Tony for Best Replacement?
I believe she will be.
I thought only lead roles are eligible for replacement Tonys.
I think Lady will be big enough for consideration...
Isn't it based on how the role was treated during the show's initial Tony eligibility? If the role was considered Featured originally, I didn't think it would be changed for replacement Tony purposes. Although, admittedly, I haven't waded through the rather involved and convoluted explanations of how the new replacement categories work, so maybe I misunderstood.
I'm really not sure. I guess we shall just wait and see.
*ponders how wonderful it would be to see Lauren holding a Tony*
It's a shame Kennedy will be back in such a mediocre show. I was hoping she'd return to Broadway in something like Evita.
Oh, well...
According to a story about the new categories on playbill.com (yes, I needed to figure out if I'd totally messed up)...
"Those actors eligible must be playing in roles that were eligible in the Best Performance category in the season the show first opened."
So I'm afraid Lauren will have to wait a bit longer to be awarded that Tony.
