Lauren Kennedy in TELL ME ON A SUNDAY
I'm going down to Raleigh to see it this weekend and I'm really looking forward to it.

Not the most flattering photo to use for the show's promotional material.
She's hunched over like.
Haha Kennedy seems to use that photo a lot, so I'm sure it was by choice.
Wish I could catch this. Lauren Kennedy is one of my favourite performers of all time!
This looks amazing!!! Such a treat.

Was there last night, and was hugely impressed. Never before has this song cycle been so moving or heart-breaking.
Highly recommended - absolutely superb performance from Lauren Kennedy.

I'm really tempted to go to Raleigh for this. I saw Marti Webb originate the role as part of Song and Dance in the West End years ago. And I like Lauren Kennedy.

'Ang on a minute!
"The script has been completely Americanized and fitted to Kennedy's persona, turning Emma into an optimistic innocent from North Carolina gone to the Big Apple to seek her fortune in the theater."
WTF? She's not an English girl who's come to America anymore? Did Andrew Lloyd Webber approve of this?
Did her show ever open off-Broadway at that little black box theater? It was like a country musical or something?
^^Kennedy was just in "Good Ol' Girls." It wasn't "her" show, but she was the star. I saw it - she was very good in it, it was decent. Nothing to rave about.
There's a cast recording coming out August 30th I believe!

just got back from seeing this show! it was so great! the Kennedy Theater is such an intimate space and i love the feeling of being 5 feet away from Lauren. She is such an energy to be around! her singing was superb and if i didnt already have plans, i would see it again!
See this show!!!!
