Laurie Metcalf-what's next for her?

Until after I had watched several episodes of "Young Sheldon," I didn't realize that Zoe Perry, who plays the mother, is Metcalf's daughter. I just thought she was a fine mimic who even looks like Metcalf. I like her very much, and would wish for mother and daughter to perform together.

Honestly, I'd rather she waited 10-15 years and then she can win another Tony as Madame A.

Yes! Yes! Yes! Metcalf was born to play Martha. Lane would be a great George or maybe Gary Sinese. Her daughter would make a great Honey!

I would imagine there are plenty of people in the business who are anxious to work with her. She's versatile, reliable, a team player, disciplined, professional and .... oh, yes ... incredibly talented.

If we're casting Laurie in musicals, I want her Mrs Lovett.
Cast her alongside Denise Gough in Beauty Queen of Leenane. (Wouldn't mind McDormand in that either, especially considering her recent success with McDonagh.)
She would have been great as Mrs Sycramore in YCTIWY.
Vanya, Sonya, Masha, and Spike.

We all know this."
From this interview with Nathan it sounds like there was at least some discussion of it but obviously nothing definite. I missed out on seeing Hoffman in the role back in 2012 but hopefully in 2019 or 2020 they can revive it back with Lane, Metcalf, and Mantello directing it.
