Le Mis or Waitress?

I can only see one more show in NYC this summer. So far I'm seeing Wicked, She Loves Me, and Tuck Everlasting. I have room for one more. It's basically between Les Miserable and Waitress. I'm a fan of Le Mis, but not a huge one. I know that it's closing and thats a lot of the reason why I would want to see it, in case I couldn't ever see it again. If things like this post aren't wanted on this site, please tell me and I'll delete, but I really need advice.

Waitress. Gives you another new musical and Jessie Mueller is not to be missed.

Waitress. I saw the show, and absolutely loved it. The performances and score are fantastic, and it's a fun new musical and an overall fantastic night at the theater.

Waitress, it's a brand new musical! While this Les Miz production is closing I think there will always be some version of it running. Unless of course you want to see John Owen Jones and this cast. Then go see it. I'm a huge Les Miz fan seen it 19x in various productions. I have tix for Waitress for my May NYC visit

I agree with everyone else - Waitress 100%.

Have you considered American Psycho? If you get to NYC often waitress could outlast AP, it gets mixed reviews even on this board. I loved both, but AP continues to affect me long after, while Waitress was fun, but less impactful. (Probably because AP is so unique.) Unless you are going with young, or are yourself sensitive to the language/ sexual content. I agree with the others though, go to Waitress if it's only between those two.

Lets Miz will not be in NYC for a long long time after this revival.It was very good with the original cast . Cannot comment on Waitress as did not see It.

Waitress 100%. Jessie Mueller is so incredibly great, and it is such a treat to hear her sing a brand new score jam packed with truly great songs. The Les Miserables revival is dirt cheap with a cast that sleepwalked through the entire show the times I saw it.
