re: LeStat gets the Palace

I love confirmed news. Love it!

Perhaps it's true, but we should believe you, why?

Link?

Sorry, in my world, nothing is official in theater news until it's on Playbill.com...

re: LeStat gets the Palace

I don't blame you for being skeptical
Let's wait and see.

re: LeStat gets the Palace

Are you really? Wow...that's like being the George Jetson of the theater world (ya know, all he did was push the red button in the morning and that was his entire job...)

re: LeStat gets the Palace

i dont know if playbill.com is up todate but they have previews listed as Spring 2006, so ASU has a while yet

FYI some confusion might be because Elton's "Billy Elliot - The Musical" in England is at the Victoria Palace Theatre

Yeah, I seriously wouldn't be surprised if there was some mis-read information here. I'm not saying it's NOT true, but like everyone else said, until it's posted on Playbill.com or something similar... I'll wait to get excited.

re: LeStat gets the Palace

Mmmm, I heard rumors that All Shook Up was closing, so I'm not totally surprised. But we'll wait until Playbill's got it.

re: LeStat gets the Palace

All Shook Up isn't doing that badly right now, so I doubt they're thinking of closing it just yet.
Nothing precious, plain to see, don't make a fuss over me. Not loud, not soft, but somewhere inbetween. Say sorry, just let it be the word you mean.

re: LeStat gets the Palace

Yes it would be to soon...

Plus I heard Lestat was headed to the Belasco.

re: LeStat gets the Palace

Can't imagine they would go to the Belasco, home of Dracula

re: LeStat gets the Palace

LONE STAR has the Belasco if they can get thier $
#14

re: LeStat gets the Palace

I think the Belasco would be a bad place to have another pop musical about vampires, don't you think? Karma can really hurt.

re: LeStat gets the Palace

When are they going to announce a cast?!? I heard rumors of Hugh Panaro... I wish Lestat and Tarzan would just announce already!
#17

re: LeStat gets the Palace

Oh and I believe I read this show will NOT have a rock/pop score. It's going to more operatic. I BELIEVE I read that.

re: LeStat gets the Palace

I'm sorry but there is no way that I could ever beleive Hugh Panaro as Lestat! Other than the fact he has that whole flamboyant thing down pat why choose him? Argh!

re: LeStat gets the Palace

i think it was alreaday confirmed that Hugh is going to play lestat, i think thats what his fan website said...and Carolee Carmello is leaving Mamma Mia in October, so thats defianately a sign. According to the casting announcement, it said something along the lines of "come prepared with a song a la schoenberg/boubil, schwartz, yeston. The score is a contemporary broadway piece" something like that
