"Can't comment on other shows right now because I really don't watch much other TV haha "
Then your opinion is unbalanced. No wonder you gush over GLEE like it's the second-coming. Watch some more television. Fulfill your life with other shows than just GLEE.

Um.. I never "gushed over Glee like it's the second-coming". I simply said that I greatly enjoy it, and that I DO think the acting is for the most part very strong.
I never made any judgements as to who should win or anything- I was just saying that I could certainly see Jane, Matt, and Lea giving some of the stronger performances in each of their categories, and therefore they're probably deserving, unless it happens to be a remarkably strong television season acting wise.
Honestly, sometimes you take the things I say and exaggerate them a gazillion times when I'm really not nearly as "cray cray" as you seem to think I am haha
I don't watch other TV because I don't have cable and I'm too lazy to catch up with lots of shows online. Plus I already have enough distractions, I really don't need to be watching more TV. Glee's the only show that really interests me right now, so I watch it and that's that :)

I don't need a life that's normal. That's way too far away. But something next to normal would be okay. Something next to normal is what I'd like to try. Close enough to normal to get by.

Congrats to Jane, Matt, and Lea. I am still waiting for the episode when Sue belts one.
Knowing how strange the Globes can be, I can see Glee perhaps winning best comedy but I think Jane is really the only lock- but there are never locks in the GGs.
So if Lea wins a GG, I wonder who will be the first BBWer to dub her 'Lea Zadora'?

Yes, but Pia Zadora won that questionable BEST NEWCOMER prize (as did Ted Neeley) did she not?
John Waters interview with Pia in his book SHOCK VALUE is a kind of literary masterpiece, I think.

That was my point. Whenever you try to trash a Golden Globe win you bring up Pia Zadora and her sugar daddy buying her the award (who was she up against again?).
I also loved Pia as the beatnik who was reciting Howl in Hairspray.

How can you see that? You don't watch television, so you're unable to compare their performances against the other nominees (which is what it comes down to).
That's what I'm asking. You see.

MusicSnob, please stop picking on GLEE fans and go back ejaculating over your crappy network sitcoms filmed like CLOVERFIELD.
Thanks!

Honestly, Jane Lynch may play the same character, but she approaches each differently. Personally, I see her taking the Emmy alone for her performance.
And, SporkGoddess, I love Community as well (so glad that last week's episode wrapped up well enough that if they don't come back, we had some resolution), so you aren't alone.

Jane Lynch as Spencer's schizo mom on Criminal Minds, the lesbian dog trainer, the porn star turn folk singer, the 50 year-old virgin, Charlie's therapist, and Sue Sylvester are all the same?

Pee, please stop pretending to care about anything except that hot mess NINE. Or better yet, feel free to just ignore me. I'm not talking to you my dear.
And I'll keep ejaculating as long as I please. No complaints here!

Well I'm happy for them. I definitely think out of all of them Jane Lynch SHOULD win. The performance she has been giving in phenomenal. I would be happy for Lea Michele or Matthew Morrison if they won but I won't be shocked if they don't.

So you mean to tell me that you have seen all 5 of those performances?

Jane Adams was the best thing of an otherwise half-baked Hung (which was saved on my DVR at home).
I love Rose Byrne but I rarely watch Damages. That seems to be a Glenn Close vehicle so RB is always in her shadow.
Does Janet McTeer get rated with Vanessa Redgrave as Clementine Churchill (brilliant) or with the rest of the ladies? I didn't see the movie nor had any interest of seeing since I watched the Finney-Redgrave HBO movie The Gathering Storm which seems to have been the much preferred version.
I adore Chloe but I missed this season of Big Love due to no HBO in my dorm (not saved on DVR either).
I am sad Jane Krakowski did not get nominated.

Spencer's mom is bipolar, not schizophrenic. Just to nitpick.
Jimmy, what are you doing here in the middle of the night? It's almost 9 PM!

bjh2114, No I haven't seen every performance. I'm sorry I don't have time to sit at home and watch every show on. However, people have raved about the performance Jane Lynch has given and I as well think she is deserving of the award. Don't be shocked if she wins or as you said you will "cry icy tears" if she does.

I was pretty certain she was schizo unless EW got it wrong.

alightinthedark, not all of them are shows. Some of them are movies. Into the Storm is a made for TV movie. So it's not an issue of watching every show on. It's an issue of being educated on the topic. And I can't imagine anyone who has seen Janet McTeer's performance in that film thinking that Jane Lynch deserved an award over her.

That's your opinion and I do honestly respect that but you should also respect mine. Whatever happens I'll be cool with it.

Right, but you just said that your opinion is actually someone else's.
"However, people have raved about the performance Jane Lynch has given."
Unless you personally have seen the other 4 performances, nay even 1 of them for the sake of comparison, you cannot justify thinking Lynch deserves this award. If you had seen all of the other performances and still said she deserves it, THEN I would respect your opinion. Not before.

"Nay"? Who says "nay"?
I love watching the crazy people who hate this show post in the threads started by the people who like this show, bizarrely believing they are going to somehow persuade the people who like this show that they don't really like this show because no one could like this show despite the reality that millions love this show.
It's true fanaticism.

PalJoey, to answer your question, I say nay. Get over it.
And I am not trying to PERSUADE anyone into not liking the show. I am, however, commenting on the nominations, which I feel were undeserved, that were mentioned in the title of the thread. And I don't think it's too much to ask to have people justify their opinions with legitimate reasoning, do you?
