What roles do you think would suit Lea's return?

I can't beleive I am saying this but I think she could do to wonders to Wicked, and maybe give the character of Elphaba the sweetness needed to sympathise with her. And rather than belting the role, maybe someone could actually...I dunno...sing it.

What idea do you have for what roles would suit her return to Broadway.

Wow such a question. I'll have to think about it.

She actually said in an interview that she would love to play that role.

I can't really see her as Elphaba. It just doesn't seem to go. Maybe if they put Aladdin on Broadway she could be Jasmine.

I think she would be wonderful in anything she were to be in.

I think she would make a wonderful Mulan if that ever comes to Broadway. Is it? There are so many disney movies being made into shows I lost track of which one.

TGIF

As of now there seems to be no ofiicial plans to put Mulan onstage, which is a shame, because it could be done pretty damn well onstage I think. And I agree that it would be the perfect vehicle for Lea.

Also, do you know where you came across this interview where she talked about Wicked?

I think she would be great in a number of roles, but I just really want to see her on Broadway! Just bring her back! Elphaba would a great role... and I hope she comes back as an Original Broadway Cast star too.

They need to being Mulan to Broadway and she could star in that. She should take over Stephanie in Ave Q when she leaves!

I love Lea too! What a great voice! Hmmm...Mulan on Broadway. I never considered that before, but it sounds like it could work brilliantly, even though I'm not really big on Disney musicals.

She's touring around the US doing concerts right now...am I right?

Does anyone know her range? Can she pull of Elphaba's high notes? Because if she could, wow, what a performance that would be.

Out of the Disney shows I know Mulan would be the only one I would want them to bring to stage. It seems like it would convert very well.

Oh thanks for posting that link, I read that article but would have never been able to find it again.

Hah...TGIF...I am listening to it now and I have some definite cool staging ideas...I actually hope Disney waits...oh lets say 10 years to bring this to stage. Reason: Hopefully then i will be a fairly established Set Designer and I can design the show. Hey...a guy can dream. My idea for the opening is cool though...a rice-paper-style curtain and as the Overture plays a projector projects black ink slowly forming the shape of the great wall, then the image disappears and the scrim fades to reveal that Great Wall set behind the curtian. Maybe it makes more sense in my head than I can describe. But it does look cool in my head, hah.

i may be wrong, but i think someone said Lea was offered the role of Belle in Beauty and the Beast and turned it down because she was asked to return to Miss Saigon... she chose Miss Saigon because she knew could still do the role at the time... and i think she's going to be doing Belle in the Philippines production of Disney's Beauty and the Beast later this year... but yeah... please get this woman back on Broadway!

It sounds like you have wonderful ideas. If it isn't for this show there are always more!

I personally think she'd be lovely as Belle, considering her amount of Disney experience. She'd sing the part wonderfully.

thinking of other repertoire she's sung, I think she has the range for it Wicked. I could see her being really good in the role. It would certainly be quite a different take on the role. I would be very interested to hear a softer side of the songs...

On a sidenote, who is playing Fiero now?
