Hey guys,

Here's a preview of Lea Salonga singing the title role of Cinderella. Show will start in August and will kickstart in Manila, will tour Asia, and probably, will reach Broadway. (crosses fingers)

She reached the high notes of Cinderella. My initial worry was, she just can't. But she did!

Isn't she too old for the part? Isn't the part supposed to be in her late teens? The character is living with her step mother. If she were young and mistreated their, that would be understandable. Someone who lives with their step mother in her mid 30's is just a leech.

I'm interested to know what you thought of Elphaba and Glinda. Idina and Kristin weren't in their teens.

Why is she singing "There's Music in You"? The Fairy Godmother is supposed to sing that. Why didn't they have her sing a song Cinderella actually sings?

Rodgers and Hammerstein wrote "There's Music in You" for the motion picture MAIN STREET TO BROADWAY (1953). Mary Martin sang the song in the film.
