So I am listening to the new LB Cast Album and it sounds like they are all singing through tin cans. Does anyone else have this problem or is it just my copy?
If this is truly the state of the CD Ghostlight should be ashamed to have their name on it. And please don't think I'm bashing the show. I love the show.

Well, everyone knows that the album to any show can't match up to the show itself..
Does Laura Bell sound still sound as strained as she did on the rough cut?
I listened to a clip of SO MUCH BETTER on Itunes and she sounds signifcantly better.

She sounds much better in this cut than the rough it just sounds like it is all coming in through tin cans.
Anyone have any idea why?

Are you listening to the CD on a stereo system or something?
I found it sounded significantly better when I loaded it to my iPod

Is it noticeably different than the "rough" version? Like...should I be running out the store to buy a copy right now or can it wait?
it has some dialogue and some stuff from What You Want cut and it sounds like better quality than the rough cut. also there are a few surprises in some songs. i'm glad I went and got it at the Palace when I was in the city 2 weeks ago.
I am confused of what the "rough" cut is and the official recording. I thought they released this cd around tony time....

The rough cut was suppose to be for TONY voters only, but someone leaked it to the internet and it spread to manu people.
This verison, out today is the official, "legal" verison that is for purchase at The Palace theater, Colony and you're local CD store chain.
Ahhh. I must go pick up a copy then.

*sigh* I'll go buy it in a few minutes. My Best Buy better have it.
My best buy never has Broadway. But they always have my Murder She Wrote on the day of release ^__^.
Best Buy here in Florid always has Broadway. I just bought TCP,Tarzan,Wicked, and The Wedding Singer AND they had a sign counting down the days till LB was released.
the one in gainesville is rare thing, borders, and barnes and nobel always has it
I wish mine had signs....
I only got to song #2 before tossing it. ICK!

Mine had Wedding Singer last year on June 6th, but no Legally Blonde. My friend and I went on a few-hours-long journey to find it, and finally found a copy 25 miles away from me.
The sound quality on the CD is MUCH better--there is actually bass, and the cuts that were made are great.
Oh--and LYRICS in the CD booklet are great. I can finally get what Laura Bell Bundy is saying in Legally Blonde Remix, So Much Better and Legally Blonde. Ah, it's been killing me!
If you have the "rough" version, I definitely reccomend going to buy the actual CD. It sounds a lot better to me. I was BLASTING it in my car on my way home last night :). Made me happy.

So have we figured out what is actually being said in "Legally Blonde Remix"? What does Kate say?

"I do not bond."

Yes, that is what she says.
Legally Blonde Remix:
"Back to the case,
back to the trial,
but I'm going back in my style,
girls it's a fact,
when you're attacked,
got to respond,
Hand my dog,
hand my my bag,
and that American flag,
'cause nobody screws,
somebody who's Legally Blonde."
Legally Blonde:
"Back where I'm known,
Back in my own,
Very small pond"
So Much Better:
"No, no! I can't wait!
I will be there at 8,
when they unlock the door!"
