Legally Blonde and Spring Awakening - tomorrow.

Hey Everyone,

I was just wondering if anyone knew if people in the casts of Legally Blonde or Spring Awakening would be out tomorrow.

I know LBB was sick this weekend, is she back yet?

LEGALLY BLONDE hasn't had a performance since LBB's day off.
I'm going to the matinee tomorrow, and am pretty sure she'll be back.

See SPRING AWAKENING after John Gallagher's day off on the 18th. He's a bit tired and his performance isn't as up to par as it used to be.

I already have my tickets and everything, so I don't have a choice to see it later haha.

I am so excited for both shows though!

I saw Legally Blonde and I didn't like it, but that's just me. You have to post everything about Spring Awakening when you get back because I'm not allowed to see it!

And also 4L, if LBB is out, her understudy Becky, is wonderful.
IMO, better than Laura.

At the stage door this past weekend when Becky Gulsvig went on as Elle she said that she would be going on as Serena as Wednesday. I'm guessin both shows but i don't know

I don't believe Annaleigh has gone on yet as Elle and Tracy Jai Edwards is replacing Leslie as Serena

I don't think LBB was sick. I think she was "resting" for her upcoming gig at Birdland.

No annaleigh has not been on as elle woods...sunday was the first day LBB was out for a performance.
Anyways the understudies for LB are really great I heard.
I loved the show its wonderful,amazing and you'll be singing the songs.
Tracy Jai Edwards will replace Leslie as Serena on August 15th.
LBB was resting for Birdland or aka personal day and I am happy to read that she was supporting one of her friends...Kerry Butler.
The cast has great chemistry so you do not have to worry if someone is out cause the show ill be wonderful anyways.
I did see it once but I want to go again. They are so nice and everything at the stagedoor.


I havent seen SA yet and do not want to.

Jerry Mitchell did a very good job when he hired covers. If you see an understudy, I assure you that the role will be in good hands.

Becky Gulsvig in particular is leagues better as Elle than Laura Bell Bundy will ever be (though both are great.)

somethingwicked you are so right about Becky Gulsvig! I don't know about Laura Bell's acting but Becky's singing voice was sooooooo much better!

A good friend of JGallagher here. I don't think he needs to "Perk Up' as someone here has commented. I saw the show last Friday, and John was amazing as always.Yes, he is tired. Last week was hard, witht he extra performance. But he always gives it his all. I have seen SA well over 20 times, and I can say this, not as a friend of his, but as an audience member, He is always outstanding. So go to see the show with confidence, he will floor you. And he is not even resting on 8/18, he is doing the Philly Folk Festival w/ his band Old Springs Pike.
