It's being directed/choreographed by Jerry Mitchell of LA CAGE and DRS fame.

Currently, it's still being workshopped. The next actress to portray Elle Woods in the worshop will be Laura Bell Bundy (of WICKED and HAIRSPRAY).

"No two shows are alike in the making. Each show is a living piece of your life in a small unreal world with its own character and integrity; its own new set of memorable experiences and incredible happenings. You begin to love and adapt to its strangeness. Dreams harden into substance. Values come into focus. You wish it would never end. The dream world vanishes like mist before a rising sun; part of you vanishes with it. And back you land in the real world with a thud- fogged, uneasy, jittery, difficult to get along with. There is only one cure. A new show. A new, small unreal world; new visions, experiences, incredible happenings. Again you love it, adapt to it, wish it would never end. But end it does. Another part of you vanishes. That's show business."-Anonymous

My initial reaction to this was "Oh no..." But then I started thinking that it could make for a very entertaining evening at the theatre. Pure fluff yes, but entertaining nonetheless.

I totally agree with Flight0017. I think it will be a really entertaining evening. I am actually excited for it....even though I am sure it will be totally campy and cheesy.

lol, it would be pretty funny IMO... I'd probably see it. Wouldn't be the first thing I'd like to go see, but it would be entertaining as the above said.

Hmmm, I don't know. I'm torn on this one. I loved the movie and thought it was actually pretty smart. But then I have suspicions that I'm a theatre snob, so I may have to hate it. (You can always tell a theatre snob when they spell it "theatre" instead of "theater.")

i like the movie, but a musicalization sounds weird but interesting.

i can see it working... doubt it will be a long runner, but curiosity itself (and the fact it is a very well known film) should pull it through! Laura Bell Bundy is a good choice too!!
