Is the front row for the Nederlander theater a good seat? I wonder if that stage at that theater is very high- I have heard that it is and I have the opportunity to score a front row seat. Please provide any feedback if you have been in this theater. Thank you so much.
I think this is a very hard question to answer unless someone is privy to how the staging will be. At the Armory, which is of course a huge space, the playing area was more or less contained in a glass rectangle (I mean, like a cube, but rectangular instead of square), which revolved. I have no idea whether the Nederlander stage designers will try to re-create this same effect. If so, the hydraulics may make the stage very high.
I just checked the performance I am going to in June, 2020 and they are charging a premium price of $350 for the front row, so I am guessing it will not be obstructed or a particularly high stage. My seats which I bought a couple weeks ago are in the second row. I paid a whole lot less ... I think they were about $199 during the presale.
I’ve been to several shows at the Nederlander and it has not been a high stage, but as other posters said, you never know until the show opens. The stage may be much higher for this particular show, but I doubt it if they are charging $350 for the front row.
Thank you- I ended up upgrading the ticket to third row center- I figured if I was going to make the trip to Atlanta- a few more bucks is not going to make much difference and IF the stage is indeed very high- as I have been told- at least I will have a great view. I had front row on the side.
Thank you again to all who responded. I really do appreciate it. -Mitchell
