I didn't see this posted yet, so I thought I would do it.

This looks VERY good (at least to me), I can't wait to see the show.

Aaron Lazar...do me?

Also, I was pretty sad about the lack of Celia. I mean, she sang what, two lines?

Awesome video. Looks great! I can't wait to hear Celia sing that part.

I got major chills at the end of the video. They sound amazing as an ensemble!

Question, tho. Was the final "One Day" always done without accompaniment, like it is in the video? Or is that just because they are only be accompanied by the piano? It doesn't sound like that on the cast recording.

I love Les Miz, but my excitement for this revival has been going up and down...it's cemented now though, I will probably be seeing it multiple times.

I've been planning to try SRO first for a while now...I don't suppose anyone has any idea whether that will be reasonable or whether it will be hard to get (like ACL)?

I kinda didn't like the bits where Daphne Rubin-Vega sang, "Come to Me."

I like her quality of voice, and it sounded very Fantine, but it just doesn't do it for me somehow.

I'm excited for new Jean Valjean and Eponine, however! re: Les Miserables Rehearsal video (broadway.com)

My heart just stopped.

I cannot wait.

Daphne sounds fantastic. Norm is just a Godsend for this show. And Gary Beach and Jennifer Galloway - AMAZING!

Alexander sounded pretty great in what I saw, as did Aaron Lazar. And please, Celia. This is HER role.

This is my "A Chorus Line" my "Dreamgirls" my "Rent"...I can't wait for it!

I must be crazy but am I the only person here who thought that video made the show look like crap? I find it a little pretentious to hear these actors talk about how great they are and how they feel that they are re-discovering this piece that closed, what, a whole 4 years ago on broadway? And by the the look of the rehearsal, they aren't doing anything new with the show. Same dusty revolve. Just because the show was cast like it was some one night benefit performance produced by Jamie McGonnigal doesn't mean that there is anything special about it.
Gary Beach saying that Daphne Rubin-Vega is bringing what she brought to Rent to Les Mis? Is that really a good thing? Give me a break.

Hot damn...I'm watching the NEW footage now. Daphne is represented better in this one. And when Norm entered for "Confrontation", I got chills--this whole production looks so fresh, but that one moment of music brought me back to the first time I saw the show and I remembered how amazing it's going to be to see it once again on stage.

broadwayguy4 - I think he was referring to the raw emotion.

Anyway, are they putting little Cosette into the COME TO ME scene with Fantine? Or was that just for rehearsal? I find that interesting.

Maybe they will star mixing characters, insetad of the original in which the show was divided into, no pun intended, musical French-type scenes.

So sad, I get chills from the intro to DO YOU HEAR THE PEOPLE SING?...

I wish we heard more of Celia.

Did Daphne just do Fantine with a NY accent?

Alex, Norm and Aaron sound wonderful.

I know! I just saw it and replayed it over 8 times. Honestly, I am so amazed. It is so much more fabulous than I thought. I thought it was basically just gonna be nothing special but this cast is...flawless. Gah. If they don't make a cast recording then that will be a major faux-pas just like never releasing the revival cast recording of LA CAGES AUX FOLLES.

I am glad I am not the only one not liking what I saw, although I think though that this is very early on in the process and probably some stuff was put together for this publicity day. That being said though, it doesn't make me want to jump thorugh any hoops to get tickets. Not liking DRV at all. Can't wait to see the reviews!

Other than that, did you enjoy the play Mrs Lincoln?
