Greetings, all!

So, it's like this: I'm VERY anxious to (finally) get to the Imperial to see LES MIZ, but my availability only allows for limited dates.

So, I have three questions:

1. Is it expected that the principals will still be present and accounted for into mid-July? (Ramin, Will, et al)?

2. Is the stage high over there? Would front row be too close, or should I aim for a few rows back to 'take it all in'? I keep hearing about the intimacy of this staging.

3. Does the cast sign after matinees?

Hi, Mike. You might miss Swenson as he's leaving for a little while to do Bull Durham. (check out that thread, it has Swenson's name in the title).

I know that wasn't much help....but it points you in the right direction!

Hey Everlast: newbies really shouldn't be nasty...especially to respected members like Limelight.

If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it? These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.

I'm looking to go somewhere in the teens, but prior to ... the 22nd, which I BELEIVE is when WIll's 'hiatus' begins. So, I'll remain hopeful!

I had second row and it wasn't too high at all. You get a clear vantage point to the stage and you're still able to see all the action. You might have to look up a few times but nothing that detracts from the overall experience.

And some of them come out after matinee! Cast members have been pretty great about tweeting whether or not they'll come to the door so I'd just check on that day but many do.

Ramin will be gone August 5 - 10 and I think he takes the night off on Thursdays.

As previously posted, Will Swenson takes his leave of absence on July 22nd and Ramin's obviously out on Thursday nights since he always is for vocal rest.

In addition to that....
Caissie Levy (Fantine) will be out July 8-12
Samantha Hill (Cosette) will be out July 14-21
Kyle Scatliffe (Enjolras) will be out July 14-21

No one else has announced vacation and if it means anything, Andy Mientus has no planned dates to miss in the month of July.

Most of the cast will come out after a Saturday matinee. When I saw the show the only leads who didn't stagedoor were Samantha Hill, Keala Settle, and Nikki M James. Everyone who did was lovely, though.

Nikki's actually a lot better than people have been making her out to be. She isn't the best Eponine ever, but she brings something special to the role. After the first preview, I wasn't sure if I was going to like her or not, but when I saw her I really wound up enjoying her.

Melissa O'Neil is going on as Eponine from July 23 (matinee) through July 27th.

^ I can't comment on Melissa O'Neil's Fantine since she hasn't really been on yet, but I saw Betsy's Fantine and she was stellar. All three of the Fantine's on Broadway are sure to be great.

Also, he's been mentioned on several other threads, but I highly recommend seeing Aaron Walpole as Valjean if you can. He delivered one of the most moving performances I've ever seen.

I was fortunate to see Melissa O'Neil as Fantine a few weeks ago, and she was absolutely superb. She did play the role differently than Caissie Levy, as her Fantine was more fragile and raw. Her rendition of I Dreamed a Dream was beautiful.

I believe she is on as Eponine until Sunday. If you're in NYC, I highly recommend seeing her take on the character. She received rave reviews in Toronto, and won a Dora Award (the Canadian equivalent of a Tony) for her performance.

I wish I could see her as Eponine, but I already have shows this weekend. Seeing the show with Nikki James as Eponine was pure torture. I won't see it again unless someone else is playing the part. She is totally miscast in the role.

Saw Melissa O'Neil as Eponine almost two months ago and she was far and away the highlight of the evening. She was one of the few on that stage who didn't chew the scenery and was powerful musically without making it seem like a rock concert.
