Has anyone stagedoored this yet? I would think with people like Celia, Norm, and Daphne, it would be quite the stagedoor experience!

When I was there, they had the metal barricades along the side of the theatre, so when the actors come out they go right and keep going. Nicely organized.
When I saw it I was dieing to, but it was a three o’ clock matinee on a Sunday and it’s a three hour show please explain this someone) and I had to go to school the next day so I couldn’t do it, but one day I’m going to see a show with people that I don’t necessarily want to wait in the cold at the stage door for, and I’m going to get all of the Les Mis autographs that my heart desires!
I saw the show on October 27th and they were all very wonderful and kind Celia, Aaron, Alex, Gary and Norm were so very sweet

I went to the stage door the day after i saw the show (cuz it was pouring rain on the day i saw it, the 27th), Norm was so incredibly nice... Alex was nice too... Daphne, of course was the star there... Jenny was kind of trying to escape, but i politly called her and told her that i loved her in the show and she signed my playbill... I also met Drew, he was nice too... so, thats my story...
I can't wait to meet them all on Tuesday! AND I can't wait to finally see Les Miz for the first time ever!
This is classified as a random and spontaneous trip to New York!
Oh yes, Daphne came out, siamese dream. VERY fun and kind. She still has my Sharpie

After today's matinee, the stage door was a mobscene... and there were no barricades.
Oh I wanted to SOO badly just to meet aaron lazar but my mother wanted to go home and I got SO lucky convincing her to bring me to see the show, I didn't want to push my luck. I think I'll write to them all though. Just because they were so amazing.

Everyone came out after the matinee but it was impossible to speak to everyone as they all went in different directions and without barricades, it was so unorganized.
Wow, no barricade today? Wonder why . . . I know it was up when I walked by last week. I'm going tomorrow (yay!) and really hope it is up.
Daphne is the only one of this cast I have met before and I have to say she is just so nice and friendly to meet. And when I walked by last week she was signing away . . . her son was in his stroller behind her (with dad and someone else) and started to fuss. She turned around and got him out of the stroller, talked to him a second and gave him a kiss, then turned him over to dad and went back to signing. Doesn't like to leave anyone hanging!
Aw, I'm so glad to hear Daphne is good about signing, shes the one I want to meet the most. Im so surprised they didnt have the barricades up.. Hopefully they learned their lessons and they'll put them back up to make the process more organized!
I saw the show last night, and everyone came out and signed, but Celia came out, and she signed 4 playbills, and left, but everyone else signed everything and posed for pictures.
BwayFanatic: Daphne is not just good about signing. She is one of the best I have met. In my experience she not only personalizes everything (even makes sure she spells your name correctly!) but will take the time to talk to you without ever making you feel rushed. One time that I met her her husband and a friend were with her. They walked a few feet ahead while she stayed to sign. My friend had a question for her and we said, "we know your family is here and you're trying to go but," and she cut us off and told us not to worry about it and don't be silly. Then proceeded to talk to us for about five minutes, never letting on that she was in any rush or had anywhere else to be. Just a very, very nice person to meet. Can't say enough good about her. :)

When I saw LitP, Aaron was INCREDIBLY nice at the stage door.

Was it you (NJRae) or someone else who posted here that after Everythings Turning Into Beautiful one time, Daphne actually walked a more "senior" fan to the bus stop with Daphne's umbrella because it was raining?

Lol, no that wasn't me but it was a friend of mine. I had other funny Daphne stories though. I think it was b/c that theater was so tiny and so few people waited for her to come out that you could have a nice long conversation with her and she was that much more appreciative that someone had waited.

Any you care to share? :)
I never saw anything fun like that at any stage doors. Major bummer.

I should also add that when I saw Light in the Piazza Aaron was really sweet at the stage door.
I saw the matinee on 10/28, and almost everyone came out. Celia and Daphne were so sweet! And Gary beach was very funny.
Lol, ok, but I warn you it may get long!
The first time I went to ETIB I went with my sister. We didn't know if Daphne would come out, so after a few minutes my sister decided to go back in and ask at the desk. Well as she was pulling open the door, who do you think was pushing it open from the other side? So my sister kind of moved aside and Daphne closed the door behind her. My sister goes, "Well that was freaky," and poor Daphne must have thought my sister was talking about her so she turns around all apologetic and says, "I'm so sorry, were you trying to go in?" and opens the door back up. My sister answers, "Well yeah, but I was going in to look for you!" Laughter all around, Daphne signs our playbills and we tell her we loved the show and how it was our second time seeing her live and how great we think she is. So of course she asked when the first time was and we told her it was at Rent10 but that we had missed her at the door after. She asked why and we told her it was b/c the security guard carried her away. She cracked up and was like, "Yeah, he did! He was strong!" and she apologised that we didn't get to see her then.
Then (see, I told you this would be long, but we were talking to her for a while!) this woman kept trying to take a picture. So we kept side-stepping to get out of it, but Daphne kept edging closer. Finally she grabbed my arm and asked, "Is she taking the picture for you?" I said, "No, we don't know her," and Daphne cracked up and was like, "Ok, that is odd. I better go talk to her then." Thanked us for coming, told us to come again soon, all that good stuff.
Maybe you had to be there, I don't know. But it sure kept us laughing! And the other story is brief . . . we asked her about a tatoo on her hand (maybe not real? don't remember seeing it recently) and she told us, "The right eye means . . . no. The left eye represents . . . uh-oh," she got this funny look on her face then, "Wow, I should know this since I put it on my body, shouldn't I?" She then proceeded to tell us we should go up the street and around the corner and the guy there would know b/c he did it. lol
Ok, endless post. Done. Sorry, but you asked for it!
