The weird thing is if it was one of the Farmboys & the cow I wouldn't blink. In rural communities the fellas take whatever they can get!!

yes, that is TRUE about some farm boys......
The Goat, thatw as an excellent analysis. I would never have thought of that scene as symbolizing beastiality but, the ponts you make about the cow representing Rose make sense. The fcat that Rose was never able to be onstage herself and then keeps pushing that cow into every new act she conceives. Of course, you can always read more into most shows than what may have been intended. However, if what you are reading into them makes sense, then it can make for an interesting conversation.

Okay, first of all I don't want to start an argument but do you even know what was going on in the show or is this some kind of joke?
Rose wants June to be a little girl, and little girls love things like animals. They can't go anywhere w/o there teddy or something etc. Thats how it was meant, besides that song is a show inside a show, there performing it to try to be an act at that theatre.

I've always thought the boys were totally into man on cow sex. When Rose says she had a dream about a cow, one of the says "Sex at last" or something to that effect.
actually...the line is "not again"...but thats pretty close...
