In the old flop marquee thread (which is gone because of the recent data loss on broadwayworld), peeps posted fun older flops, like Fig Leaves Are Falling!
I think I saved some of other people's fun images... but I don't want to offend anyone by posting something that I didn't find originally...

Now now, Here I Am. Let me set you straight on this nicely, before MargoChanning comes in and whips you straight out into Central Park.
A "flop" is a show that does not recoup its initial investment. A show that did not make money. A show that lost money.
GREY GARDENS lost its entire investment, therefore it is a flop.
