Unless Disney go back to the German production without all the narration, the show is sadly not worth producing. This is from someone who loves it, and saw The La Jolla run ( Patrick Page and Michael Arden outstanding ) but those changes are not good. You don’t need the story to be explained.

Well I didn't want to get into it, but he's a Satanist. Every full moon he sacrifices 4 puppies to the Dark Lord and smears their blood on his paino. This should help you understand the score for Wicked a little bit more. Tazber's: Reply to Is Stephen Schwartz a Practicing Christian

To be honest, I didn't like all the narration either, but I feel like if it was just one or two people it would be fine. I always hate the change in tone and pitch when it is a plethera of different voices.

There is something special about that Berlin production, though.

Ah, yes, another Change.org petition...cute.

Unless this gets thousands of signatures and everyone is willing to pay for a pair of premium priced tickets, this will just be another silly thing that goes nowhere.

The show has been available for licensing for literally a decade. Thinking that an online, non-funded petition is going to force Disney’s hand to mount (what would likely be) an eight or nine-figure production is completely unrealistic. Disney refused to pay to tour the full UK/AU Beauty and the Beast revival package here in the states, they’re not producing a revival based on signatures.

Reach out to your regional theatre company and make it happen.

I am big. It’s the REVIVALS that got small.

probably not with 35 signatures, but I hope the show has a future life.

As long as each of those 35 people kick in $1M, I'm sure a producer would be happy to revive the show!

This petition will have as much of an effect as BD Wong's petition is having.
