Let's steal Rent, make the songs more American Idol, cover the actors and stage in trash, and we can touch the hearts of the younger generation.

Let's see, you don't have a heart because, well, the Brooklyn in your blood decayed it.
You don't have a brain because you made your opinion against BKLYN...
And your courage will be needed when hoards of Brooklyn fans attack you with TWISTER costumes.

OK, lets remember the title of this theard: It's not about Brooklyn and not about Rent, it's about "How I Got to Broadway".

Don't worry, I know you are coming.
(And I don't give out my cell. That's only for witches.)

"And your courage will be needed when hoards of Brooklyn fans attack you with TWISTER costumes."
Are there really "hoards of Brooklyn fans" out there? If that were the case, you'd think that abomination would have run a little longer.

Remember, they are 12...They can't ALL afford to see the show many times.

Actually, Brooklyn survived on Broadway just because of it's fans. With those reviews, the show could have closed after a week. But it stayed on Broadway for 10 good months.

I'll say this, the producers knew what they were doing as far as marketing goes.

Maybe Mark Schoenfeld's experiences can inspire some. This was a man who was once homeless, living on the street who made a living by being a street performer and because of the generosity of a friend realized a dream. There are so many of us that go through life day by day struggling, hoping and dreaming. Mark Schoenfeld got lucky and realized his. That is inspiring in itself. He may have some great material because of his experiences in getting "Brooklyn" produced. He may have something of value to share with others because of those experiences.

Will it conclude with a demonstration of a ThighMaster?
"Christ, Bette Davis?!?!"

"You too, can be inspired by my story - from obnoxious street performer to a bloated egotistical maggot feeding off Johnathan Larson's corpse. It's easy!"
Will there be a song called "Papering the House"?

Master why would you assume Schoenfeld was an "obnoxious street performer/egotistical maggot feeding off the corpse of Jonathan Larson"?
Do you know him personally? Or are you just angry?

why don't you people just give it a rest already? If you didn't like bklyn fine.. you don't have to bash Mark or his show. Simply as stated before. Don't See it then.

I thought this was a joke.
Wasn't BKLYN autobiographical enough?

Apparently, he has enough bad songs to fill 10 musicals. Will Eden be playing Mark?

Is there really a need to bash everything you don't like? If you don't like the idea, don't go see the show. It's that simple. No one's making you go.
