That's nice to know they are that generous, Yankee. I've never tried to watch an entire days worth of programing - but nice to know its an option if need be!

If one wanted to set an appointment to see a video (say, last year's Threepenny Opera), how far in advance should they call in order to try to set it?

Here's a list of shows they have in the TOFTA.
List of Shows

I have several names, one is Julian2. I am also The Opps Girl. But cross me, and I become Bitch Dooku!

Bumoing because the main board didn't recognize my post.

Once again, I ask this: how far in advance should someone set an appointment?

Does anyone know whether I can walk in and watch the entire show of Hamilton in the library, provided I am working on a project on the diversity of the theatre world in New York?

Nope. Assuming it's even been recorded yet, you cannot watch a show that is currently playing on Broadway.

For a show currently running on Broadway, from what I've heard you would need permission from the producers or creators of the show. I don't think that Hamilton has actually been filmed for Lincoln Center yet anyways.

Also, they are slowly (VERY slowly) transferring their entire catalog into digital files, so many titles aren't available.

I work at the library, and can confirm that 1) Hamilton hasn't been taped yet, and 2) currently running shows cannot be viewed, without permission from the producers.

A couple of things to add, since some of the info in this 10-year old thread is out of date: the TOFT screening room is now open on Mondays, noon to 6. Also, where digitization of shows is concerned, that applies only to shows before 2006. Everything since then is either on DVD or Betacam (and the latter can still be played). Most everything from the past ten years is available, unless it's currently running.
