Linda Eder new CD - "Retro"

Linda Eder will be releasing a new album entitled "Retro" on November 16 through her website, LindaEder.com. Many of these songs are from Linda's recording days with Frank Wildhorn. Some of these songs are from his musicals Cyrano de Bergerac, Havana, Scott & Zelda and Camille Claudel, while others are from Jason Howland's "Quickstep." There are two additional tracks Wildhorn wrote with Maury Yeston ("There is Love" and Jack Murphy ("Is This Where Our Story Ends?".

I'm very excited for this - I think Linda Eder is one of the best vocalists of our time. Howland's "Could It Be" is one of my favorite tracks for sure!

I saw her in Jekyll and Hyde and she was wonderful. I always wanted to see her make it back to Broadway again. Saw her in concert many years ago and she was fantastic. I am excited to hear the new CD !!

Don't think this will be available on Amazon or iTunes - her last 2 CDs have been done independently and available only thru her website or at her shows. I think she's currently not tied to any recording label (?), and this release should be no different.

With a title like Retro, I got excited that perhaps she'd finally release her version of At Last - she sang it BEAUTIFULLY on her Memory Lane tour, and it was conspicuously left off her Linda Live CD (still a great recording to get if you don't have it already). But I'm looking forward to this regardless

I LOVE Linda! I wish they would have released the Camile Claudel album. I also wish she would come back to Broadway.

I also love Linda. Her voice is incredible and can do so many different things. she's fantastic on the (2005?) studio recording of Leonard Bernstein's Peter Pan.

Just FYI Roxy, there is a double live cd of Frank's songs with a few numbers from some of his other unrecorded shows.

This was released before Dracula and Wonderland were available so the number of unheard songs is less now, but here it is:

I already knew about this album. I already have the CD of Count. I am not sure if the Dracula tracks are on the cast album or demo I have.Ditto for the Wonderland tracks. I have to look into those before deciding. Thanks

I ordered this cd and in less than a week - closer to 5 days - I received it . . It seems like Eder or possibly her secretary addressed the envelope & mailed it out from a post office in North Salem NY.

It has the newer cardboard sleeve & not a jewel case. There are no lyrics and the insert is rather skimpy . All you get are the songs but there is a great representation of unrecorded scores especially Havana & Cyrano

14 tracks. Here is the breakdown
