If HS's can do Guys and Dolls, a show with a burlesque dancer and a whole sequence of the leading lady losing her inhibitions while getting drunk, they should be able to do this show. It would not shock me if more of these situations crop up while Trump and conservatives take over everything.

I think what's been extremely disheartening to see from enough people on here is the thinly veiled racism. Audra is sensational in this and I hope she wins.

It's kinda wild to see everything from "this is a blast!" to "just terrible" about this show. I grew up with the tv show and it was very formative for me. I'd like to see this when I get the chance but I have to admit I was hoping for a full on bombshell adaptation (as silly as it would've been in a way).

I've always thought Carol by Patricia Highsmith (and also a beautiful film) would be really interesting to musicalize. I could see Frankel and Korie doing it but I also see it as an opera tbh.
