re: Lines from Broadway songs that would make great t-shirts

My friend and I were joking about "Wicked" - they said you could put just about anything from that show on a shirt - and I pointed out some of the random things that would just be TOO weird:

"I am a sentimental man"

"March of the Witch Hunters"

"Don't be offended by my frank analysis, think of it as personality dialysis"
Madame Morrible: "So you take the chicken, now it must be a white chicken. The corpse can be any color. And that is the spell for lost luggage!" - The Yellow Brick Road Not Taken

"Does anyone ever wear a hat?"-Company

"I swear, you say one more word about me and I'll get that gun of mine and I'll change you from a rooster to a hen with one shot!"-9 To 5

I'm your Shipoopi!

"I saw Pavarotti play Rodolfo on stage and with his girth I thought he was about to eat the whole table at the Cafe Momus." - Dollypop

I laughed when I read the suggestion (page 1) Hail, Malthus! -- Urinetown. THat's precisely what my HS kids put on their show shirts.
If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it? These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.

"Grease," the fourth revival of the season, is the worst show in the history of theater and represents an unparalleled assault on Western civilization and its values. - Michael Reidel

I know this isn't a part of a song but I just thought of it from Spring Awakening

"Well that's men, If they can't stick you with one thing they'll try another"

And from Jersey Boys
"Your Italian you gotta end in a vowel"
"I gotta be romanced a little before I take my clothes off"

And here are some from songs

"Mad props" - Legally Blonde (corny I know)
"Oh I, I got a funny feeling when she walked in the room" -Jersey BOys

"I can't give you anything but love, Baby" - JErsey Boys

Spring Awakening song quotes

"Spring and Summer every other day"

"We've all got our junk and my junk is you" *it can either go all on the front or part on front and part on back*

"Just to unreal all this"

*I know some of these are cheesy but they could make cute shirts*

From Legally Blonde:

"Do you know the number 1 decision behind ALL bad hair decisions?"

And then on the back: "LOVE!"
"Movies will make you famous; Television will make you rich; But theatre will make you good."--Terrence Mann

"Pretty much...if you've seen any shows that have a jerk boyfriend in that show...I'm that guy."--Richard H. Blake

Diane: Aww, you are such a chick flick. I would totally pay $12 to see you. (Kristin Chenoweth on "Ugly Betty") http://musicalangel12.blogspot.com <-- my blog. Give it a read, please.

I was listening to Reefer Madness this afternoon and had to find this thread to add this:
"We are just like Romeo and Juliet. Happy, young and hemorrhaging blood."

If we're including dialogue, there absolutely has to be "I was raised to be charming, not sincere" from Into the Woods.
