Lippa's Wild Party on So You Think You Can Dance

Did any see the Broadway number on So You Think You Can Dance? First of all, Tyson D...the man that can't do ography...Horrible every week he does a piece. Second, they butchered that beautiful piece of music call Wild Wild Party? Anyone got a comment?

The show was pre-empted in Minneapolis due to the bridge collapse so I didn't see it(not that I would have watched it anyway---I was glued to CNN).

I'll have to catch it on YouTube. Was it truly awful? Can you elaborate?

I LOVED LOVED LOVED their take on YCSTB from Hairspray a few weeks back when Shankman guest-judged.

it was disappointing that they cut up the song so much, but i think thats inevitable and a necessity for what they needed. I just think they might have been able to make a cleaner cutting. but how exciting for andrew lippa's wild party to appear on national television! i was jumping up and down.
and the dance that went with it, i thought, was fine.

It wasn't the worst dance ever. Though Mia's choreography for Lacey and Neil was the most memorable piece in the show.

I also love that Adam choreographed the Hairspray dance. It was a good way to bring the movie to a different crowd.

Tyce has done much better choreography, specifically with Benji and Donyelle last year, which I believe was to YCSTB.

I Thought that the Wild Party piece was one of the best dances of the show. I dont know what your smokin!!!!!
