Little Mermaid a worse show than Cry Baby?

I recall when Little Mermaid began, the word of mouth was quite poor. Now that Cry Baby is in previews it seems to be receiving negative word of mouth also. For those who have seen both, would you say it is better to see Little Mermaid over Cry Baby?

I was actually partial to both of them, strangely enough. But I think you should go with The Little Mermaid. They both have their flaws, but Cry-Baby has more.

MERMAID is eons better than CRY-BABY.

MERMAID at least has an enjoyable score and an immensely talented cast that gets to display their gifts appropriately.

I would go see Cry-Baby. I enjoyed Little Mermiad for many reasons, including the songs from the original movie that are classics, BUT all that is good in Little Mermaid can be experienced from watching the movie. Cry-Baby has very little in common with its source material, most of the jokes are new. And the dance numbers are truly wonderful. And you'll only see them in the theatre.

Not having seen Cry Baby, I would definitely recommend NOT seeing The Little Mermaid. Anyone over the age of three who liked it is seriously mentally defective and should seek medical help immediately. It was the most atrocious evening I ever spent in the theatre (and that includes having seen In My Life)!
