If you could have ONE production transfer from London to Broadway, even if it's a show we have over here, but the quality and cast is better in London, what show would you want to transfer?
I would love to see Footloose come over.

Hey, I love Footloose. And I can see that happening once the movie with Zac Efron comes out.
Aside from that, Id love to see Blood Brothers over here. It's so powerful and moving. We need another go at it here in the US

Does the earth really spin around the sun?
What's it matter in the least?
What's real to me ain't real to everyone.

The London Cast of Hairspray.
I've been hearing wonderful things about the entire cast, and it's already been discussed elsewhere how great Michael Ball is as Edna.

Actually the London production of Footloose is fantastic and got some huge praise by the press
Its head and shoulders over the mess that was produced on Broadway
I wish you guys could see parade

Cabaret.
But I can't picture Americans being as accepting of the nudity.
I remember days
Or at least I try
But as years go by
They're sort of haze
And the bluest ink
Isn't really sky
And at times I think
I would gladly die
For a day of sky

Posted: 12/7/07 at 4:12amBrian, you can try, but it was hard enough to see him in London - I can only imagine that in NYC he'll be practically impossible to get near. I stood outside the stage door (along with fifty other people) for nearly an hour after Equus waiting to see if he'd come out. He didn't, but I can't say I wasn't surprised - he might've been trampled.

dramaparoxysm23, Daniel did vist with fans after the show most of the time -- he was certainly out the night I was there, and I've seen reports of interactions at other times as well. There was a barricade set up at that stage door and he always had someone hovering behind him as he went round, so he was well protected. I imagine it will be very similar in NY.
Yankeefan, it looks like Boeing Boeing is coming to Broadway although dates aren't mentioned in this article from London:

"I can't imagine Americans being as accepting of the nudity"-
Well, we have "Spring Awakening" so I think Cabaret would work.
I hope it comes.
I'd like Shadowlands to come over. I LOVE the story.
(loved the film, too)
